I have no idea how I came to know this anime in the first place, however, mostly, I guess, from Hiro Suzuhira who actually draws the illustrations. Akikan! (アキカン!, means Empty Can! in Japanese) is a Japanese light novel written by Riku Ranjo, with its illustration by Hiro Suzuhira (I think I have mentioned this name many times, yeah, I love her artwork, badly!).
Since I haven’t read the novel before, thus I have to quote something from Wiki.
Akikan (“Empty Can”) is the unlikely story of high school boy Kakeru Daichi (大地 カケル), whose can of melon juice soda magically transforms into a human girl. More “akikan” girls begin appearing, each of them needing to be infused with carbon dioxide from kissing to survive.
Well, this is the only introduction I can find on Wiki. Apparently, there aren’t many information about this anime. And I don’t find too much interesting stuffs about this novel, but the story’s probably about some kind of happy life with all kinds of beautiful girls ^^ that many people’d like to spend what they can to trade for, no offence, just count me in. The character design of the anime seems to be a little bit werid compared with the illustration of the novel, probably largely because Hiro Suzuhira is just too AWESOME!
Happen to have some scans about this anime (illustrations from the novel actually). Just have a look below, the anime will be on air on 3rd. January, will bring more on this one. Check out the manga and anime official websites.
Apparently, this is the heroine, named Melon (メロン, Meron).
The girl’s name is Yell (エール, Eru). Personally, I prefer this girl, cold and cool ^^
Lots of girls out there. Najimi Tenkuji (天空寺 なじみ)
And this one, a LOLI, apparently the author has some special interests ^^ Not sure about her name.
Sure to check out the character design of the anime below.
