Weekly Roundup and Akiba Newsletter Issue #4

Thanks to all the support from our readers, Akiba Newsletter has reached 133 subscribers this week after launched a month ago and we are pretty much on schedule. The blog will be three years old next week. To celebrate the third anniversary of TheAkiba, we are going to provide something really great for our readers. Natsume Yuujinchou 4th Season Announced. Coming in January 2012

After the 12th episode of 3rd season of TV Anime series Natsume Yuujinchou (Natsume’s Book of Friends), I was wonder if there were still one more episode left. It’s just ended in such a rush. That’s totally not enough for a fans. But, instead of one more episode, a whole new season is coming! According to the scan of November issue of LaLa magazine, the 4th season of the series will be aired in January 2012. I am in tears. We have a heartwarming series in the coming freezing Winter.

Rumor: Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica 2nd Season Coming?

Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica is one of the hottest TV Anime series this year. Despite the fact that the series was suspended for a while due to the Earthquake early this year, it did not seem to affect the popularity of Madoka after the resume. Fans simply like it and when it ended in April, they want even more. Recently, in the staff commentary of the 6th volume of the Bul-ray of TV Anime Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica, Gen Urobuchi, the senario writer put it that he is working on the next season of the series. So, the second season of the series will probably not a long way ahead.

Usagi Drop and Yuru Yuri Ended, How do You Like Them?

Sadly Usagi Drop, one of the heartwarming series this Summer just ended last week. 11 episodes are probably not enough for most of the fans. It’s a great series, with a bit more focus on the grownup market. Saito, our latest member of the team talks about his ideas about this unique show. Another interesting show Yuru Yuri has just ended this week. Already smell the second season.

Are You Still Watching Blood-C?

We had a really interesting debate on one of the mainstream TV Anime series Blood-C. As one of the Blood series, we cannot fail to mention sword, ketchup and sometimes tap water. Attentions raised from the director of Blood-C Tsutomu Mizushima who replied to the critical comments from fans about the series on his blog. Sometime it’s important that directors not follow the opinions from the audiences, and they can end up in two totally different results: either be remembered as part of the history or totally a loser. Aniplex announced that it will stream the Fate/Zero TV Anime series worldwide, with subtitles in eight languages starting October 1st.
Madoka Magica Poster Auctioning for 500,000+ Yen (ANN)
A Puella Magi Madoka Magica 3D poster signed by Madoka Kaname and Homura Akemi voice actresses Aoi Yuuki and Chiwa Saito is going for 501,000 yen (about US$6,600) as of Wednesday.
Madoka Magica’s Kyouko Featured on Guide Dog Poster (ANN)
The official website for the Puella Magi Madoka Magica anime series announced on Sunday that this fall’s promotional poster for the National Federation of All Japan Guide Dog Training Institution has been completed with the anime’s Kyouko Sakura character on it.

Danny Choo was filming 2 episodes worth of Culture Japan Season 2 at the Good Smile Cafe. After the Madoka theme, the cafe this time round gets the Carnival Phantasm treatment with the Fate girlies looking sooooo cute!
