Anime To Watch for Christmas 2015

Happen to be bored for the Holidays this year? These are some anime that will put you right in the festive mood!

ToradoraToradora

The Christmas episodes in Toradora (17 – 19) are among the most important in the series, with a lot of bittersweet drama, and the most important relationship developments in the show. Not necessarily the most “fun” episodes of the series, but certainly one for Christmas. Of course, it might be best to just rewatch the show entirely.

Tokyo Godfather

Tokyo Godfather

This one is a bit different. When it comes to Christmas in anime, it’s most often used as just the setting. It’s the background for the actual plot of the show. Very few anime actually focus on Christmas itself as the theme. Tokyo Godfather is a film that focuses on the homeless in Japan, and on Christmas. And like a true Christmas film, there’s some miracles, and it’s heartwarming. Much like on Christmas day, It’s A Wonderful Life is the American classic to watch, this too might be the anime to watch.

Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai Slapstick Noelchuu2

In this OVA, Christmas is coming up and Rikka is told by Nibutani that this is an opportunity for her to get closer to Yuuta. Under Makoto’s suggestion, they plan a Christmas party at Sanae’s Mansion. The events that unfold are a series of heartwarming encounters by chance under a White Christmas. Source: MAL

K-onK-on

On episode 7 of this wonderful anime, a Christmas party is planned at Yui’s house. The girls exchange bonds as they shop for Christmas gifts together. The party is where they will share memories about their past and celebrate the holiday season.

And that’s it! Hopefully you guys take a look at these, if not already, and enjoy the holidays.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you peeps. Cheers to another year of anime!
