Under Channel: AnimeGuilty Crown Mid-series Impressions28by Night 140 days ago Guilty Crown attempts to encapsulate several genres at once and in doing so never manages to be particularly good at any of them. Overall it is the slice of life scenes which play out the most convincingly. Whilst that genre in itself is usually generic and predicable, the series manages to bring enough flair and good humour to make for an enjoyable viewing experience. However in the end all of the high school scenes should have been the stepping stone for Shu as he becomes part of Funeral Parlour, not filler for whenever a new character must be thrown in or the writers need an excuse for a beach episode.
Under Channel: AnimeWorking’!! [Final Impressions]4by saitohama 143 days ago Sorry about the late review—I was actually contemplating even taking the time to write down some final impressions, but taking the full week to reflect, I feel like the series has undoubtedly done plenty on its part to elicit a final word of praise. Not only have I enjoyed each and every episode, but the finale treats us to yet another delicious surprise (food humor)—Maya (normal) Matsumoto is back and she’s here to lend a hand with her average 18-year-old advice!
Under Channel: AnimeThe Best Anime of 201115by YoU 143 days ago 2011 is almost come to an end. As a signal, we won’t get some of our favorite series in this week or next. Maybe it’s a time for all of us to take a rest and recap what happened during the year. We had a similar poll last year to help us find out what were our readers’ best pick series during 2010, and thus we are going to do the same this year.

Under Channel: AnimeBoku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai [Final Impressions]7by saitohama 146 days ago The conclusion of the Fall season is always my favorite as the exciting final episodes come as a perfect compliment to the seasonal holidays. Of course, I hope your holiday celebrations were merry and filled with fanservice, but for me the best part is being able to sum up the great series conclusions with a short and sweet final impressions review. So on that note, enjoy your post-holiday reading!

Under Channel: AnimeJanuary 2012 New Anime Guide12by YoU 149 days ago Over half of the Fall series came to an end and wonder how you like them before proceeding to a brand new season. We have lots of interesting series this fall, including some of the most expected series like Fate/Zero, Guilty Crown and so forth. Generally, compared with Spring and Fall season, the new series of Winter season are a bit less (but we are still going to put up over 20 series in this post), and the quality may also be understated. Probably staffs are busy for a new year, so as the rest of us. However, we are going to see some really good series this Winter. If you are ready, let’s get started.
Under Channel: AnimeChihayafuru EP 12 – Set These Forbidden Fields Aglow0by saitohama 151 days ago This week it appears that the major plot took the back seat while the karuta club was given its final ‘developmental’ debut. What continues to surprise me is that despite this brief (and welcomed) deviation, Chihayafuru never missed a beat.
