April 2013 New Anime Guide

Spring is just around the corner and most of the new series will begin airing next week, with several titles scheduled to be air during this weekend, like Date a Live, which is presumed to be one of the most expected series this Spring, with all the expensive investments the producers made. Other than that, we are going to have lots of interesting new series, as well as some sequels like Oreimo, Railgun and Nyaruko, for which fans have been waiting for a long time. Apart from these exciting series, we also have some original Anime like RDG: Red Data Girl by PA Works, and light novel series Hataraku Maousama! follows the end of Maoyuu, Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru. follows the end of Haganai. Expecting to be a quite strong season and let’s jump and check out the new series below. Don’t forget to vote for you favorite series at the end of the list.

The story is about a 15 year old girl named Izumiko Suzuhara. She was born and raised at Tamakura Shrine, and always destroys any electrical device she touches. She decides to try living in the city, and enrolls in Hōjō High School in Tokyo. With her are her guardians son and Izumiko’s childhood friend Miyuki Sagara. While she’s there, an entity called “Himegami” appears. She learns she something called a “kami” a vessel for a shinto spirit, while Miyuki is a “yamabushi”, a warrior meant to protect the “kami.”

Thirty years before a strange phenomena called a “spacequake” devastated the center of Eurasia, claiming the lives of at least 150 million people. Shidō Itsuka, a seemingly ordinary high schooler comes across a mysterious girl at the ground zero of a spacequake and learns from his sister Kotori she is one of the “Spirits” who are the real cause of the spacequakes that occur when they manifest themselves in the world. He also learns that Kotori is the captain of the airship Ratatoskr and recruits him to make use of his mysterious ability to seal the Spirits’ powers and stop them from being a threat to mankind. However, there is a catch: to seal a Spirit, he must make her fall in love with him.

After their raids, they put on shows as an apology for scaring the citizens. Their group consists of the strongest, most capable fighters that use a special type of bracelet, known as Circus I.D., to fight.

Several hundred years ago, humans were nearly exterminated by giants. Flash forward to the present and the city has not seen a giant in over 100 years. Teenage boy Elen and his foster sister Mikasa witness something horrific as the city walls are destroyed by a super giant that appears out of thin air. As the smaller giants flood the city, the two kids watch in horror as their mother is eaten alive. Elen vows that he will murder every single giant and take revenge for all of mankind.

The arc focuses on the ordeals of Mikoto Misaka after discovering the existence of the Radio Noise sisters that are being used in the Level 6 Shift, an experiment where they are killed in order for the highest-ranking Level 5, Accelerator, can achieve Level 6.
