Blog ChannelApril 10, 2011Ask the Commenters: How do You Like Akiyuki Shinbo’s Works?7by YoU 403 days ago When mentioned about Akiyuki Shinbo (新房 昭之), the first thing comes to my shaking mind is the slideshow style of Animation and strange but unique way of telling stories.I watched a few of his works and as you could probably tell more than I. From the latest 2nd season of Maria Holic (まりあ†ほりっく) to the hottest Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica (魔法少女まどか☆マギカ) and Bakemonogatari (化物語). He indeed directed tons of masterpieces and the way he does graphically is somehow became a trademark. To be frankly, I really had a difficult time to accept his works. But the way he expresses the story goes beyond the image. For a people like me who weigh a lot on character design and the quality of Anime could easily get disappointed (Yes, I found myself lost in Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, さよなら 絶望先生) in the first place, but when we get further, we might find the series interesting and even attractive than those who look good.Anyway this is how I feel about his works.
