BEN-TO: Interesting New Anime to be Aired this Fall4

BEN-TO (ベン・トー) is a new Anime series to be aired this Fall and has just released its PV today. The series is originally a high school comedy action light novel written by Asaura (アサウラ) and illustrated by Kaito Shibano (柴乃櫂人).

Judging from the PV from the official website, the series is about poor students fighting to get their hands on limited half price Bento or Lunchbox. Quite interesting a setting plus the quality of the PV is very high, and so is our expectation, even though the character design on the official website is a little bit disappointed.

The story revolves around a poor high school student named You Satou. Satou goes to the supermarket one day and discovers a bento (boxed meal) on sale at half price. Just as he reaches to grab it, he ends up on the floor unconscious. Satou has just entered the fierce, no-holds-barred “supermarket survival battle” for half-price bento. It’s an interesting setting that could involve action fighting which gives me a similar feeling of Tenjho Tenge (天上天下) which is of course more bloody though.
