Kimi ni Todoke (24 episodes)

Synopsis: Kuronuma Sawako is nicknamed Sadako due to her resemblance to the girl from the Japanese horror movies “The Ring”. Shunned by her classmates, her life starts to change as she befriends Shōta Kazehaya, a very popular boy in her class.

Kuronuma Sawako’s one wish in life is to make friends. That’s a difficult proposition when everyone who meets her cowers in terror. She admires her classmate, Kazehaya-kun, a popular, easygoing and 100% refreshing guy who is nice with everyone, even with her.(via ANN)

Review: Kimi ni Todoke is an easygoing anime, it doesn’t add much originality to the love story.

It has your basic ingredients for a high-school romance: a popular guy falls in love with a girl who’s not popular at all. The girl, Sawako, is your silent but kind girl, she loves to help others and doesn’t expect anything in return. The guy, Kazehaya, is your popular guy, wherever he goes he gets followed by friends. Whenever he joins an conversation the conversation gets a lot more fun. At first it might seem that Sawako is a really exaggerated character, at least that’s what I thought, but later on it definitely improves. The story might not seem too original, if you are into romance series either anime or soaps you might have seen something like this before. I had the very same feeling but I don’t know what it exactly is that drew me deeper into the story, it just happened and each episode makes me want the next.

The studio that works on this anime is Production I.G., in my opinion a great studio. The art style is about the same as Bokura ga ita, it has a painted feeling rather than drawn which I personally find really well done. It doesn’t ruin the experience or anything but it gives some kind of twist to it, makes it look fresh and colourful. The studio also hired good voice actors and actresses, the voices really suit the characters. Aya Hirano even voices a character in this anime, though I’m not really a fan of her, just thought I’d mention it. The music that is used isn’t fast-paced but really flows with the love story, the opening is really addictive, listened to it for quite a few times. All with all, I consider this the best on-going anime at the moment. Give it a chance and watch the first few episodes, you’ll be wanting more.

During the time of writing there are around 18 of 24 episodes released.

Durarara!! (24 episodes)

Synopsis: Ryuugamine Mikado is a boy who longs for the exciting life of the big city. At the invitation of his childhood friend Masaomi, he transfers to a school in Ikebukuro. Masaomi has warned him about people he doesn’t want to cross in the city: a champion fighter, an informant, and a mysterious gang called “Dollars.” Nervous from Masaomi’s stories, Mikado witnesses an urban legend on his first day in the city, the Headless Rider astride a black motorcycle. From then on, the existence of supernatural cases and a gang called the Yellow Turbans will rise to the surface, and Ikebukuro will pushed to the breaking point. (via ANN)

Review: Durarara!! is an anime based on the myth of the Irish Dullahan. The name Dullahan might not ring a bell but The Headless Horseman might. Instead of a headless person riding a horse, it’s a headless person riding a bike. The headless rider is getting paid to do certain jobs which involves all sorts of things. The story is quite original, I’ve never seen anything like this before. I like it when they use European folklore and give it an anime twist. This worked quite well for Tales of Symphonia (even though that’s a game) and Saber. The first few episodes might be confusing as it is telling the story from different perspectives, I had to watch the first four or so to finally get into the story. The art isn’t anything fancy but quite simple, the studio behind it is Brain’s Base. When there are a lot of people walking on the street only the main characters gets drawn the rest are just gray blobs in the form of humans. The background and the grey blobs doesn’t ruin the action but I prefer seeing everything drawn and having much detail. Music and voice-acting-wise, everything seems to be okay, I don’t have any complains about it. The voice acting fits the character. The music isn’t anything of orchestral value but it does add suspense.

There haven’t been many serious series out there this season, take for example the series where a character has to suck on some breasts to get his power. Therefore I definitely recommend you seeing this one, it has a compelling story even though the artwork might not be the best that’s out there. Best original 2009-2010 winter anime so far.

Nodame Cantabile Finale (11 episodes)

Synopsis: The love & music story continues between Noda Megumi, the talented yet distracted (almost childish) piano player, and Chiaki Shinichi, the prodigious, always focused on advancing forward, orchesta director. How love will finally find its way for this two persons. Will it be able to surpass the challenges ahead or will it die prematurely. Paris, the city of light, is the more accurate place to find out how this “love musical” will reach its FINALE. (via ANN)

Review: This is the third season of Nodame Cantabile, I don’t have much to say about this season yet as I’ve only seen one episode, but I’ve seen the past two seasons. The first two seasons were great romance series combined with great classical music. The music aspect of this series is absolutely fantastic, take a concert for example, instead of just skimming through the play they actually dedicate time to it and animate the people playing their instruments. The art during a concert is just brilliant, however the scenery is kept simple. The drawing is good, not the best out there but it doesn’t distract you from what’s going on. The studio behind it is J.C.Staff. The characters are funny and interesting, Chiaki who is a perfectionist gets saddled with Noda who is quite clumsy, this makes a great duo. I hope the storyline will also be good, I’ve mostly based this review on previous seasons and is, therefore, a must watch sequel if you liked the first two seasons.

Ookami Kakushi (12 episodes)

Synopsis: A 15 year old boy, Hiroshi Kuzumi, has recently moved into a new town in the mountains. The town is separated into new and old streets by the river, and many mysterious local cultures still remain. Although confused and enjoying his new life, one person kept her distance from him: class committee member Kushinada Nemuru. In their few encounters she gave him a word of advice: “Stay away from the old streets.” (via Wikipedia)

Review: From the writer and producer behind Umineko and Higurashi comes Ookami Kakushi. It’s once again a horror/mystery anime. The art is done by Peach-Pit who also did the art for Rozen Maiden, the drawing is really good. I’m probably a bit biased but I liked Rozen maiden and Higurashi and that’s why I started watching this, I had great hopes for this anime. So far I’ve only watched the first four episodes and I must say the story is kind of bland, it’s based on werewolves. I had to plough through the first episodes and only the first episode wanted me to watch more. The latter episodes were quite boring, the story didn’t advance much and you were left with more questions than answers. The music and voice-acting are well done, no complaints whatsoever. The characters don’t feel like anything new, I didn’t had the feeling of being drawn into them. I have a mixed feeling about this anime since I really like Higurashi and Rozen maiden and am stubborn to give up on this one. So far the story didn’t seem interesting enough but a good friend said it was getting more interesting after the fifth episode. To my knowledge there are only going to be twelve episodes, and almost half of it isn’t interesting. If you like the studio and the writer Ryukishi07 go give this a watch, if you like neither just skip this series.

Tons of new Anime were released in January. Guess folks have watched some of them. Indeed most of the series are good enough to follow this month. Some news have released about the coming April Anime release and we will bring some of them to you in the following months. And here start the recommendation.

Tons of new Anime were released in January. Guess folks have watched some of them. Indeed most of the series are good enough to follow this month. Some news have released about the coming April Anime release and we will bring some of them to you in the following months. And here start the recommendation.

Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu / バカとテストと召喚獣 (13 episodes)

http://www.bakatest.com/

One of the best among all the release of January. Supported by the great novel, the Anime is much better than I have expected. The story is quite fun and the Baka male protagonist is quite unique compared with other male characters of other Anime. In all, thirteen episodes are not enough for us.

Ladies versus Butlers! / れでぃ×ばと！ (12 episodes)

http://www.ladies-vs-butlers.com/

This is an absolutely NSFW series. The male protagonist is quite different from other series of this kind and it impressed me the first time. The story is interesting and the relation among the main three characters is well designed. What’s more, you can never tired of enjoy Saabisu (サービス) scenes.

So Ra No Wo To / ソ・ラ・ノ・ヲ・ト (12 episodes)

http://www.sorawoto.com/

First thing came to my mind about this series. A second season of Anime K-ON!? Yes, actually the second season of K-ON! is confirmed but the series we are talking about has nothing to do with music (well, yes, it does have something to do with music). The character design is slightly better compared with K-ON! You would like to try the series out if you like Anime has only female characters

Hanamaru Kindergarten / はなまる幼稚園 (12 episodes)

http://www.starchild.co.jp/special/hanamaru/

This is a unique series of the month. If you are tired of Anime full of beautiful girls and Saabisu, you will like to try this one out. The story is about daily life of three little girls in the Kindergarten. Kind of like the child version of Minami-Ke (みなみけ).

Omamori Himari / おまもりひまり (12 episodes)

http://anime.webnt.jp/omahima/

Actually the series is way below my expectation. The character design is way worse than the manga and the male protagonist is way stupid than expected. So normally the only way to enjoy series like this is either listen to the voices and ignore every movements and speech made by the male protagonist. And things left are beautiful girls. Anyway, the manga of the series is recommended.

So Ra No Wo To / ソ・ラ・ノ・ヲ・ト (12 episodes)

http://www.sorawoto.com/

The story is set in the future on a land that, after being marred by long-lasting wars, has settled into quiet decline. Model and actress Juri Aikawa will play Kanata Kumika, a 15-year-old girl who fulfills her dream of enlisting in the army and joins a unit of five girls who protect a fortress. The girls also play music that reverberate across the skies over towns without people and seas without fish. ASCII MediaWorks’ Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine will launch a manga version of the story this winter.
Ladies versus Butlers! / れでぃ×ばと！ (12 episodes)

http://www.ladies-vs-butlers.com/

The school romantic comedy revolves around Akiharu Hino (Kazuyuki Okitsu), an ordinary high school student who unfortunately looks like a juvenile delinquent. He enrolls into an academy that was once a school for upper-class ladies, and he is placed in the school’s newly established servant training department. The students there are raised to be either maids or butlers, and Akiharu finds himself in the middle of the bickering cliques.
Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu / バカとテストと召喚獣 (13 episodes)

http://www.bakatest.com/

Guest this will be the hottest Anime among the January release. Let’s wait and see. To those have read the novel, here’s the brief intro:

The story centers around Akihisa Yoshii, the “baka” of the title. His academy rigidly divides up the student body into classes based on the results of tests. The prodigies
are in the A class with reclining seats complete with air conditioning
, but Akihisa is in F class, the lowest rung of the school ladder which is furnished only with low, decrepit tables and worn-out straw tatami mats.

A smart girl named Mizuki Himeji had a fever on test day and was pigeonholed into the F class. Besides Mizuki, the F class also has Yūji Sakamoto, the class president who has been Akihisa’s partner-in-crime since the freshman year. The school happens to have developed experiments to summon fantasy creatures, and Akihisa decides to rally F class to take on the higher-tiered classes and seize their perks. The F class uses the summoned creatures in an all-out battle for school supremacy.
Durarara!! / デュラララ!! (12 episodes)

http://www.durarara.com/

Ryuugamine Mikado is a boy who longs for the exciting life of the big city. At the invitation of his childhood friend Masaomi, he transfers to a school in Ikebukuro. Masaomi has warned him about people he doesn’t want to cross in the city: a champion fighter, an informant, and a mysterious gang called “Darazu.” Nervous from Masaomi’s stories, Mikado witnesses an urban legend on his first day in the city, the Headless Rider astride a black motorcycle. From then on, the existence of supernatural cases and a gang called the Yellow Turbans will rise to the surface, and Ikebukuro will pushed to the breaking point.
Ookamikakushi / おおかみかくし (12 episodes)

http://www.tbs.co.jp/anime/okami/

The plot focuses around 10 different stories that are closely related. However, other than that, not much details had been released as of yet, although those who are playing the game would have a clearer idea on how the story would be.

Like the previous few works that Ryukishi07 had done, we can probably expect the same kind of genre that we had seen from Higurashi and Umineko. Ryukishi07, after all, is famous for all of these anyway. (via NotCliche)

Dance In The Vampire Bund / ダンスインザヴァンパイアバンド (12 episodes)

http://www.vampirebund.com/

After millennia in hiding, Mina Tepes, the Princess of the ancient covenant and ruler of all vampires, wants change. Using the vast wealth of the Tepes line, she has paid off the entire gross national debt of Japan and in so doing, gained the authority to create a “special district” off the coast of Japan that is to become the future haven to vampires the world over. Now, on the eve of the landmark press conference announcing the existence of vampires to the world, terrorists and rival factions plot to assassinate Mina before she has a chance to make her world-changing announcement.
Hanamaru Kindergarten / はなまる幼稚園 (12 episodes)

http://www.starchild.co.jp/special/hanamaru/

Hanamaru Kindergarten follows the wild and very cute antics of preschooler Anzu-chan and her friends, the shy Koume-chan and the eccentric Hii-chan who loves cosplay. Anzu’s got a crush on her teacher, Tsuchida-sensei (a Nintendo DS fan), but he’s much more interested in the very well proportioned Yamamoto-sensei of the class next door.
Omamori Himari / おまもりひまり (12 episodes)

http://anime.webnt.jp/omahima/

The slapstick romantic comedy centers around an ordinary 16-year-old high school boy named Yūto Amakawa who is protected by a spirit — specifically, a beautiful, sword-wielding cat girl spirit named Himari. Yūto is descended from a family that has subjugated demons since time immemorial. The charm that once protected him is now impotent, but fortunately, at that same moment, Himari appears before him as his new guardian. (via ANN)

Seikon no Qwaser / 聖痕のクェイサー (24 episodes)

http://www.qwaser.jp/

The story takes place on the grounds of St. Mihailov Academy, a Japanese Eastern Orthodox school, and draws heavily on religious references from the aforementioned religion. Here it follows the trials and hardship of two of its students, Oribe Mafuyu and Tomo Yamanobe, until the encounter with a mysterious, silver-haired, Russian boy named Alexander, or Sasha for short. This puts them and the whole school in an all-out war between the Church itself and the so-called “Adepts”, a sect of individuals wielding powers linked to the elements of chemistry. Though based on the common magical girl concept shown in series such as Sailor Moon, the story diverges in depicting extreme acts of bloodshed, brutality and perversion, and also makes heavy use of fanservice. (via Wikipedia)

Nodame Cantabile: Finale / のだめカンタービレ フィナーレ (11 episodes)

http://www.nodame-anime.com/

Final season of the series. I didn’t watched the previous two seasons of the Anime (Japanese drama instead). Would like to catch up with it.

At a top music academy in Japan, Shinichi Chiaki’s arrogance is matched only by his top-notch piano playing. But when Chiaki and the teacher get into a fight, he’s demoted to the reject class. Chiaki is left to pursue his dream of being a composer while surrounded by a bunch of loser musicians and one annoying girl, Noda, who has proclaimed herself Chiaki’s girlfriend. It doesn’t help that Noda, who insists on being called Nodame, lives right next door to him.
Finally the great masterpiece comes. The trailer has been put on Youtube. Will definitely love to see it will be on theater across the world. Forget my daydream and come to the movie part. As you can see the subtitle is UNLIMITED BLADE WORKS (UBW), which means the story of the second route of the Fate/stay night PC game will be put on the big screen. Guess lots of fans of the series, who have played or haven’t played the game, have already known what the story talks about. It’s good to see how Rin becomes the first heroine (sad to find out that the name of Kana Ueda (植田佳奈) was still listed after Ayako Kawasumi (川澄綾子) although both of them are my favorite CVs). Would love to bring more after the release of the movie.

The movie of Anime Kara no Kyoukai finally comes to the last episode. The DVD of the last chapter Kara no Kyoukai Movie 7: Satsujin Kousatsu (Part 2) (劇場版 空の境界 第七章 殺人考察(後)) has just released recently and finally fans like us who don’t live in Japan have chances to enjoy this masterpiece. I’ve long been interested in TYPE-MOON’s works, especially the novel written by Kinoko Nasu (奈須 きのこ).

Continued by the previous chapter where Azaka did a great job (while showed up only in one scene this chapter poorly…), the story dated back to four years ago when Shiki lost another part of her. But the story seems fail in telling me how Shiki was killed. It occured to me that in the fifth chapter of the series Mujun Rasen (矛盾螺旋), Souren Araya (荒耶宗蓮) said that he killed the male part of Shiki while in the last episode Shiki seemed to commit suicide “himself”. There’s no much fight between Shiki and Souren four years ago as I expected.

I was shocked by the look of Shiki in childhood. She’s sooooo cute that I cannot stop snapshoting. The story of the chapter develops around Mikiya looking for the criminal of recent events which happened to have connection with events four years ago when he tried to approve that Shiki didn’t kill anybody. As he stepped deeper into the events he found out the murderer was a friend of him in high school Rio Shirazumi (白純里緒).

In order to keep the promise between Mikiya and her, Shiki was captured by Rio. Not quite like the scene that Rio treated Shiki – - . Rio was turned into a beast by Souren and cannot control himself. As Shiki noticed that Mikiya was “killed” by Rio, she killed Rio. Like the memories between Shiki and Mikiya flashed by during the episode. It’s quite warm and the author who set up a story like this is someone that I admire.

A little disappointed that Mikiya and Shiki didn’t kiss but just hold each other tight. In the fight, Mikiya lost his left eye (luckily to survive, the wound was terrible and he was drugged by Rio). To be frankly, I don’t really like the later part of this chapter compared with the first part which tells the story between Mikiya and Shiki four years ago. The first part of the story, I mean the the 1st part of Satsujin Kousatsu strikes much deeper at me than the 2nd part.

It will be great to have a kiss scene. Pity.

I always think the shy part of Shiki is a great treasure. Yes, indeed. Like the new hair style of Mikiya.

The story ends here. Feeling quite pity, I sincerely hope that the story could be longer. Like the part when Mikiya and Shiki was students in high school and want to know more about their school life. But the story ends. What’s next? It’s time to read the novel of the series. And what’s next big event of TYPE-MOON? Well, that would definitely be the movie of Fate/stay night. Will bring more about this!

Before we go for the recommended Anime of October 2009, I’d like to talk about the overall performance of the Anime of the month. I was not interested in most of the Anime of the month in the first place, and then after quick view of the first episode of several Anime I realized that there did exist some nice ones. And it also appears that most of the Anime of the season have lots of cute girl characters.

http://www.project-railgun.net

A side story of four girls which considers to be the best of the season (by me). The protagonist Toma of the original story only showed up in a few episodes and only for a few seconds. The fight between Toma and Misaka was still a good point to watch. Hope there will be a second season of To Aru Majutsu no Index.

Kämpfer / けんぷファー (12 episodes)

http://www.starchild.co.jp/special/kenpu/

Fell in love with this series after watching/listening to the first episode. Lots of my favorite CVs around, including Kaori Nazuka (名塚 佳織) who is on the top of my list (love her voice since the Anime .hack//Roots). Lots of interesting characters in the series especially the rude version of Akane. If you like CVs and like girls, you should try it out.

Nyan Koi! / にゃんこい! (12 episodes)

http://www.tbs.co.jp/anime/nyankoi/

I thought the story would be a love triangle among the main three characters. I was wrong, at least partly when girl characters started to grow in a speed that I cannot overlook. Sometimes too many characters, especially girls may course terrible disaster to the protagonist.

Asura Cryin’ 2nd Season / アスラクライン (13 episodes)

http://www.starchild.co.jp/special/asura/

Just finished watching the first season one week ago and cannot stop keeping watching the second season. The story is quite well composed and the overall performance is above average.

Seiken no Blacksmith / 聖剣の刀鍛冶 (12 episodes)

http://www.blasmi.com/

If I read the novel of this series, I might fall in love with it. But the character design of the Anime is not my style and the characteristic of the female protagonist is…not acceptable to me. Though I don’t like the heroine the story itself is interesting, will keep on watching.

Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu 2nd Season / 乃木坂春香の秘密 (12 episodes)

http://www.nogizaka-haruka.com/

To be frankly I haven’t finished watched the first episode but the story seems to over emphasize relationship between the protagonists which is a little bit unreasonable. And sometimes the plot really scares me and I felt disgusting from time to time. Some how the story reminds me of Ai Yori Aoshi (藍より青し) which has the similar atmosphere as this one (but much more acceptable).

Seitokai no Ichizon / 生徒会の一存 (13 episodes)

http://newtype.kadocomic.jp/seitokai/index.html

This is a unique series of the season. Some fans think Drama CD is a more reasonable way to extend the original novel story among the five student union members. If you haven’t read the novel before, try not to before you finish the Anime. The recent episodes show some sad stories about each characters and this is part of the sad side of the novel. Try to have fun with the Anime series and if you decide to have a series look into the original story which claims to be 90% fun and 10% serious, try out the novel, you won’t regret.

Fairy Tail / フェアリーテイル (18 episodes)

http://kc.kodansha.co.jp/fairytail/

If you watched Rave Master (レイヴ) before, you may like this series. If you like Hiro Mashima (真島ヒロ), you may find lots of similar thing between these two series. The series is currently ongoing and am not sure the altogether 18 episodes can demonstrate the story well.

Sora no Otoshimono / そらのおとしもの (12 episodes)

http://anime.webnt.jp/soraoto/

Cannot believe I forgot to mention this one. I was not very interested in this series in the first place since the commercial of the series is a little too ero and at that time I was more focus on the story side of the Anime of this season. But anyway I tried almost every series of the season and put this one into my list. It looks like a ero one in the first place (indeed it is) but later turned out to be some else in the recent episodes. Will keep on watching.

Watched the Anime of the series a few years ago but have just finished reading the Manga recently. The story between the two version is quite big a difference and cannot help talking something about. The series was created by Akinobu Uraka (有楽 彰展).

The first thing to talk about is the female protagonist. It’s really difficult to define who the heroine is. According to the whole story, Ruri (ルリ) will definitely be the heroine. She is the one who Rumina (留美奈) fell in love with in the first place of the story. But according to my understanding, Rumina only think Ruri is cute since the story doesn’t focus too much on this part which turns out to be difficult in convincing readers about the reason that Rumina and Chelsea (チェルシー) go down to the Tokyo Underground to rescue Ruri. And my claim is proved to be reasonable as the story develops.

If Ruri is not the heroine of the story, who else can be. Most of the readers of the series have the answer. Yes, it’s Chelsea. Chelsea is the bodyguard of Ruri and she fights all the way to rescue Ruri with Rumina and for whom she develops feelings. Chelsea lost her memory for a while and during that period she was wearing the hat she bought for Rumina all the time. And in the final battle with Kashin (華秦) Chelsea gave out her life to Rumina and saved him from the death. Cannot forget the time when she went out with Rumina and enjoyed the fun, the promise of rescuing Ruri together, and the kiss they had in the dream.

More clues? Check out some other websites like Wikipedia, or the office website, you will find that Chelsea is listed before Ruri in the character introduction section.

The Anime ends too quick, far from telling the whole story. You should read the Manga if you like the series. But actually neither will give you good answers and understandings about the story and the relationship among the three protagonists, and I guess that’s why the series end so fast. Strongly recommended. Read the Manga.

New New Animes have arrived and the post seems a little bit late to arrive whatsoever, guess I was just lazy Back to the topic, the overall releases seem quite nice and there’re some of them really worth out expectation. Several Animes have already on air and you might have already watched them. But never mind, here we go.

To Aru Kagaku no Railgun / とある科学の超電磁砲 (13 episodes)

http://www.project-railgun.net

Guess this will be the hottest Anime of fall. A side story of Anime To Aru Majutsu no Index. No more description is needed.

Compared with Index in To Aru Majutsu no Index (とある魔術の禁書目録), I personally like Mikoto Misaka (御坂 美琴) much more. Check out the OP only my railgun by fripSide. The OP will be released on Nov 4, remember to check it out. And now, listen to it online.

Kämpfer / けんぷファー (12 episodes)

http://www.starchild.co.jp/special/kenpu/

The story seems interesting and the character design is so far acceptable. Will look into and decide whether to keep on watching.

Kämpfer (けんぷファー) is a Japanese light novel series by Toshihiko Tsukiji, with illustrations by Senmu. The story revolves around Natsuru Senō, a normal high school boy. One day he wakes up to find himself turned into a girl. A stuffed tiger “Harakiri Tora” comes to life and tells him to fight as a female psychic fighter “Kämpfer”. Having no idea about what’s going on, Natsuru is involved in the battles against other female Kämpfer.
http://www.tbs.co.jp/anime/nyankoi/

Another new Anime of October. Seems quite interesting in the story. The first episode has been released, it may be as good as you think.

Junpei Kōsaka is a second-year high school student who despises cats and has an allergy to them. It just so happens that his high school crush is Kaede Mizuno, a girl who adores cats. One day, while walking home from school, Junpei kicks an empty can and unfortunately beans the local neko-jizō-sama (guardian deity of cats). He finds he can now understand what cats are saying, including his family’s own ill-tempered cat, Nyamusasu. However, if he does not grant 100 wishes from cats, he will turn into cat himself.
Asura Cryin’ 2nd Season / アスラクライン (13 episodes)

http://www.starchild.co.jp/special/asura/

Second season of Anime Asura Cryin’ (actually I haven’t finished watching the first season, just leave them to some day later).

Story: Tomo was a school kid with just one problem: he had a ghost friend for a while. One day, his life is turned upside down as his world changes into a new one, one which he couldn’t imagine before.

Tegami Bachi / Letter Bee / テガミバチ (13 episodes)

http://www.tv-tokyo.co.jp/anime/tegamibachi/

New Anime of this month. Very good Character Voice staff but not sure the rest of them.

The story takes place in the land of AmberGround, a place of perpetual night only partially illuminated by an artificial sun. Lag Seeing works as a “Letter Bee” (delivery boy) at the “Bee Hive” (a delivery service), with his Dingo, Niche, and her “pet”, Steak, traveling with him. He is entrusted with the “hearts” of everyone in AmberGround to deliver their packages. (via Wikipedia)

Seiken no Blacksmith / 聖剣の刀鍛冶 (12 episodes)

http://www.blasmi.com/

Think this is a good Anime, kind of being to Sword and Magic type. The characters are well designed and the overall quality seems fine. Will have further report after it on air.

InuYasha / 犬夜叉 (26 episodes)

http://www.ytv.co.jp/inuyasha/

Actually when I heard about this, I was shocked. What? Inuyasha? Is it an April Fool? No, definitely not. The series is going to the end in the next 26 episodes coming (not sure about the Manga). Suddenly I started to miss it and wonder when Conan, Naruto, Bleach and One Piece came to an end

Seitokai no Ichizon / 生徒会の一存 (13 episodes)

http://newtype.kadocomic.jp/seitokai/index.html

Actually I don’t have much interests in this kind of story. The pattern is that the story is quite boring but the girls are quite attractive. Not sure about this one. Will find out.

Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu 2nd Season / 乃木坂春香の秘密 (12 episodes)

http://www.nogizaka-haruka.com/

Second season of the series. Again, never watched the first season before thus I don’t have much to say about this. Any comments?

11eyes: Tsumi to Batsu to Aganai no Shoujo / 11eyes -罪と罰と贖いの少女- (12 episodes)

http://www.mmv.co.jp/special/11eyes/

A famous Galgame made into the Anime.

Satsuki Kakeru lost his sister by suicide and has been living a dull life ever since then.
http://www.kobato.tv/

Original manga by Clamp. Kinda looking forward to watch this series and don’t know why. Check out the content and you might know the reason.

This is originally a very nice Manga and it’s highly recommended. Though typically a Shoujo Manga type but the story is interesting and worth keep on reading.

That’s a difficult proposition when everyone who meets her cowers in terror. Tons of interesting Anime came this July. But to most of us, time is limit and we have to pick some of them which are really of our tastes and worth spending the next 25 minutes staring at the screen. The overall quality of the Anime this month is outstanding, featuring TYPY-MOON’s CANAAN.

Tons of interesting Anime came this July. But to most of us, time is limit and we have to pick some of them which are really of our tastes and worth spending the next 25 minutes staring at the screen. The overall quality of the Anime this month is outstanding, featuring TYPY-MOON’s CANAAN.

Canaan / カナン (13eps)

Official website: http://www.canaan.jp/

Canaan, one of the best among all, tells a story about the girl Canaan, her friend Maria and her enemy (friend?) Alphard. The story starting with the angle of Maria, a shinny girl with a dream to become a photographer. The city is Shanghai, fans can see lots of interesting oriental festival customs in the episode. The main story has not yet shown to us, as well as the story between Canaan and Alphard, Canaan and Maria. There’re tons of chances to check out the original story line but finally decided to enjoy the Anime before knowing the ending. Highly recommended.

Spice and Wolf 2 / 狼と香辛料2 (13eps)

Official website: http://www.spicy-wolf.com/

It’s the second season of Anime Spice and Wolf. Though Holo is not of my taste but the story still worths watching in the first season. As for the second one, the focus changed from business to love. Sometimes the speechs between Lawrence and Holo is difficult to understand. Prefer the first season.

Princess Lover! / プリンセスラバー！ (13eps)

Official website: http://www.prilover.tv/

Have introduced a lot about this series. The story is fun compared with other Galgame made Anime. Still there’re lots of thing need to be improve. The quality is fine though the design of characters seems to be a little bit abnormal to me.

Click here to vote for your favorite character.

Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 / 東京マグニチュード８.０ (11eps)

Official website: http://tokyo-m8.com/

This is not the greatest Anime but the most “shaking” Anime in July. Earthquake, a word of disaster. I have never met an earthquake before thus never being able to understanding how terrible it was. Have watched news on TV and movies at the cinema, and now this time, an Anime on my screen. The Anime focuses on describing the terrible disaster and how people helping each others and dealing with it. If you want to understanding how earthquake’s like and how to live under this situation, you will need to check it out.

Yoku Wakaru Gendai Mahou / よくわかる現代魔法 (12eps)

Official website: http://www.gendaimahou.com/

This Anime is about Pantsu and a lot of No-Pantsu. Sorry for the misleading. The Anime actually is about a girl who can convert any magic codes into washbins. Quite interesting an Anime and worth watching when you’re free.
