Then this guide is perfect for you, a step by step guide on how you can convert your Anime and have the best quality possible. This works on a windows machine but you can try it on a Mac, I’m not sure if the programs are able to run on the mac though.

TheAkiba Redesign Completed: Forth Version

TheAkiba Redesign Completed: Forth Version

Finally the redesign of TheAkiba is completed. Currently running on the new V4 theme. Guess I am just tired. Have studied tons of websites before the idea coming out. Thanks to Tutsplus network, the main development of the code was done and I was able to finish coding in time. Although not many new ideas came to the theme while the features were increased. This is not an original design but an redesign based on the framework and layout of Tutsplus Network. Will continue digging into the detail and furnishing the look in the coming days. Right now just enjoy the feeling of satisfaction.

Trip in Washington D.C., New York and Boston

Trip in Washington D.C., New York and Boston

Just came back from the trip in the east coast of the United States, feeling pretty tired. Have been poking around the street at midnight and waiting for taxi in Bronx, NYC for an hour which makes me even worn out. Everything else seemed fine and the trip outweighs my expectation. We arrived at Washington D.C. at midnight and spent one day in the city. Several spots had been visited including the White House, Lincoln Memorial, Capital Hill and other government facilities. We had compress schedule and had to move fast from spot to spot. Luckily, the city is not as large as I used to think and we were able to finish the tour in one day.

Trip to Washington DC, New York and Boston

Trip to Washington DC, New York and Boston

Am now waiting at the lobby of the airport for the late flight to Washington DC. Pretty upset by the reschedule of the flight and it costs me waiting at the airport for the coming six hours. The trip lasts about five days. The first stop will be Washington DC, and then I will spend the next two days in New York, finally take the flight back to Ohio from Boston. Guess tons of value experiences will be earned.

New author: Snow

New author: Snow

Hello fine readers of TheAkiba, I’m planning to become a new author for TheAkiba and instead of just barging in I’ll introduce myself first. Some things about myself. I am seventeen years old and reside in the Netherlands, I really like Anime and the Japanese culture. Though, I’m not really an avid manga reader, only own a few but it’s not a notable amount. Not aiming to be an Otaku though, though maybe I might already be one, without me knowing it ;) .

Say Goodbye to Google China

Say Goodbye to Google China

Guess lots of fans in China have noticed about the news for few days. Not very surprised to see the result as I myself felt depressed when I was using Google services back in China. One great morning you woke up as usual. Boiled a cup of coffee and sit in front of your laptop. Opened up Gmail trying to check out what’s new in your mailbox and found nothing but 404 error page. Gmail was blocked. Okay, fine, let’s get some video and found Youtube still outside the Great Wall. Where’s my documents? Google Docs was blocked and where to get my latest essay? It’s great to have a backup in your disk and even better to have a VPN software around.

Happy New Year 2010!

Happy New Year 2010!

Greeting to all the friends. It’s new year! Guess is snowing heavily in Ohio but I am right now at Las Vegas watching all kinds of splendid shows and fancy hotels and casinos. Guess gambling is all about picking the right machine and clicking with your lucky finger. Did the gamble the first time and won $20 with only $1. You will never know what will happen when you had put $100 into that machine and that’s why I don’t like gambling a lot.

Google Chrome for Mac

Google Chrome for Mac

Google seems to be running much faster these days. Continued by Google Wave, Google Japanese Input (waiting for the mac version of Google Chinese Pinyin Input) and now comes the Google Chrome for Mac users. It’s still in beta and seems quite simple and missing some features. I usually use Firefox as my default browser and seldom use others. But when I was working on my theme for the site I will use all kinds of browsers to check the compatibility of the theme. Anyway, check it out here if you have a mac.

Panasonic Lumix LX3

Panasonic Lumix LX3

Finally got the Lumix LX3, my favorite camera among all the digital cameras, including DSLR. Bought it on the Thanks Giving holiday (not black Friday) on Amazon which reduced its price by 20% and to me it seems to be a very good deal. Even though I have a Canon DSLR, it’s still too big for me to carry around, especially when you try to get some secret shots ^^. Guess I no longer need the Canon SLR since I am too lazy to learn to shot with the big machine. Will practice with my new camera and focus on the idea part of photographing. Love to share it with you, to all the LX3 lovers.
