A new season is coming. The first thing that makes me notice about the change, is definitely the weather. Yeah, trust me, I did want to say that the new Anime season Started to notice that the new Anime Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakama-tachi (オオカミさんと七人の仲間たち) has already on aired this week and you can probably find some torrents on the web now (sad that our Japanese is not that good and there’s no TV for us to collect the radio wave in Japan). Have watched the series and it’s quite good in all. Anyway, enjoy!

Long time since the previous post of the series. It’s snowing now outside and it’s the first time I saw snow in my life. Cannot stop going outside and feel the squeezing wind and falling feather. It’s like everything you saw is white and pure. And sometimes the snow starts to freeze like a stone. Really curious to see things I’ve never seen before. Like the trip to San Francisco, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Will write something about the trip but let’s enjoy the happy new year.

Long time since the last post and the blog lacks updates also. Am preparing the portfolio for my application to go to Art School but guess that I might 80% fail. Will do whatever I can cause that’s my dream.

Today is a holiday; and I didn’t notice there’s holiday called Veterans Day until arriving in U.S. (somehow missed it on Google calendar). For those who don’t know nothing about the holiday, check it out here.

Long time since the previous post. As the regular visitors might notice the change in the theme and delay of response. The site suffered from the high usage of server resource and was suspended for a couple of days. After several tries on the theme and plugins and cleaned up the database, the problem seems solved (sadly I don’t think I found the fatal problem of the theme but anyway it’s solved) and the usage of the site seems stable for a while.

To WordPress users some unconfirmed source informed that the latest 2.8 version of WordPress will be released on 10th this month. Hoping some great work will be done to improve the code of WordPress and reduce the high usage of CPU.

Thanks to those who keeps on visiting TheAkiba and commenting on my post ^^ Enjoy the nice shot (what? you don’t like nurse?).

Am thinking about the new layout of the coming theme. Wonder whether you like the thumbnail way of displaying images. There are lots of images hosting sites on the web and am considering putting some images on them to reduce the bandwidth usage. I prefer flickr but it doesn’t seem to be a good idea to store images on flickr even if you have a pro account. Staffs of flickr delete photos even you own all the rights.

Lots of people talk about this on flickr and got locked. Guess that’s why you can see a “delete your account” in your flickr account setting and just with a simple click, all your images will be deleted without a second confirmation. Nice tool for the staffs and sorry to those who has suffered. May be I will be the next victim ^^. Guess the best way is to store images on different services, HDs.

Things keep on coming that I found myself bathing in the pool of troubles. First thing is about the hosting issue. The traffic keeps on growing, so as the CPU and memory usage of the server. Recently being informed by the provider about the exceeding usage of CPU and memory, partly due to the traffic and partly due to the script I use. In order to lower the figures I turned on the caching system and abandoned some scripts, may some day put the gallery offline if the figure still high. Have considered getting a VPS but it’s too high a price that I need to pay, also it’s not rational.

Would very much like to know how you host your website. Which provider do you choose and how it performs? 1% max usage of CPU really hurts. Anyway, enjoy the nice pic!
