According to the wraparound jacket band on the 17th volume of the Manga of the series, the second season of TV Anime Chihayafuru (ちはやふる) was announced. We talked about the rumor in late March this year upon the end of the airing of the TV Anime. We were not joking when we said the source was revealed secretly by the staffs and producers without informing the media or press. So far no other information including release date was announced but we will get back to this for sure.
