The official website for Code Geass: Boukoku no Akito 2 has announced that the second episode has been postponed from spring 2013 to summer 2013. The anime’s production team greatly apologized for this delay and said more details will be later announced on the show’s official website and twitter account when they are decided. A great new visual art piece was revealed though.
Code Geass: Boukoku no Akito 1 – Yokuryuu wa Maiorita (コードギアス 亡国のアキト 第１章 翼竜は舞い降りた) aired on July 16, 2012 and is a alternative setting to Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch (コードギアス 反逆のルルーシュ.) Most of Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch occurs in Japan while in Boukoku no Akito occurs in Europe, seven years after Lelouch. The story is basically about boys and girls who fight in Nightmare Units from Japan (Area Eleven.)
Did I enjoy the first Boukoku no Akito more than Hangyaki no Lelouch? No, I sadly did not. Lelouch was honestly amazing and one of my favorite shows. It was engaging, interesting, and mind blowing at times. I admit the fact that the second season wasn’t as good as the first but they were both extremely enjoyable. A few days after I finished the two seasons of Lelouch, Akito was announced and I was super excited. I expected better though. I even fail to understand why they are releasing a 45-minute movie every year! I honestly don’t remember anything from the first Akito. Now we just have to wait longer. I just hope the delay helps them make the show a lot better, the first episode was pretty mediocre.
