Hidan no Aria: First Impression and Brief Review1

Finally the series start air today in Japan and we somehow managed to get the first episode streaming across the web. Have introduced the series a while ago in our seasonal new Anime post and for folks who have missed, check it out.

Before the topic, I have to say that the quality of Anime series of the season is quite way above my expectation and it seems to me that every series out there is worth recommending. Most of the series have already aired the first episode except Moshidora. Guess there could be a little bit difficult for me to come up with a recommend series post

Go straight now to the topic. Hidan no Aria, or Aria the Scarlet Ammo (緋弾のアリア) is another one of my favorite series of the season except Hana-Saku Iroha (花咲くいろは).

The story is about a male student Kinji Tohyama (遠山 キンジ), our male protagonist who has a special ability which he somehow wants to hide from others in order to live a normal life. And his high school, is a special place to bring up students known as “Butei”.

Aria H Kanzaki (神崎・H・アリア), the female protagonist voiced by Rie Kugimiya (釘宮 理恵) somehow remained me of Shakugan no Shana. In the first episode, she jumped from the top of the building and helped Kinji to escape from the bomb.

Shirayuki Hotogi (星伽 白雪), the childhood friend of Kinji. She is cute, in all means and Mikako Takahashi’s voice (高橋 美佳子) made her even more sexy. And she is the one who seems to know a lot about Kinji, even his family background.

Riko Mine (峰 理子), classmate of Kinji. Cute girl but only showed up at the end of the first episode, and was scared by Aria’s bullets.

Overall, the series is quite good in all aspects and probably among the top three of the list in my opinion. Last but not least, folks who have already watched the series may get attracted by the sexy look of Shirayuki If you haven’t, check the above screenshot and you will know what I mean. Would recommend this series to all of you.
