High School DxD Third Season Announced

The Harem King is back.

According to the official website, the third season of TV Anime High School DxD was announced. The announcement was also made on the cover of the 18th light novel of the series.

Written by Ichiei Ishibumi (石踏一榮) and illustrated by Miyama-Zero (みやま零), High School DxD is a Japanese light novel revolves around Issei Hyodo, a high school student who was killed and reincarnated as a Devil.

The first season of the TV Anime was aired in January 2012 with a total of twelve episodes. The second season of the TV Anime was aired last Summer in July and we can more or less expect a similar schedule this year around Summer or Fall.

Both seasons contain loads of fan services. The first season handled these well while the second season went a bit too far and was focused more on the fan services side rather than the story itself.

To be frankly, the original light novel of the series is one of those small amount of light novels I am following and have to say that I really like it a lot. The story is interesting and the male protagonist is, a gentleman on both sides. It’s definitely with the wait.

If you haven’t watched the series before, it is probably a good time to start. Remember to be at a suitable place to enjoy this show. It’s just a bit NSFW.
