The Man Who Made AKB48

Nowadays people happily talked about AKB48 and her sister groups. And now based on the fact that even an Anime (learn more about it) is especially made for AKB48 and the sister groups, we cannot fail to mention the name once again and probably more frequently in the future.

The Man Who Made AKB48

Idol groups in my opinion are products, and you need to market it properly. In the end of 2011, the Wall Street Journal interviewed the creator of AKB48 Yasushi Akimoto (秋元 康), the 55-year-old Japanese pop producer and discussed about the concept and future of the project. Head over to the original post to read more about the story.

No More 10,000 Free Tickets to Japan5

We mentioned back in October that the Japanese government would offer 10,000 free tickets to foreigners who want to travel to Japan. However, we also mentioned in the newsletter that project is still under “examination for government budgetary approval and is at this moment undecided”. Two months later, now, the plan was killed. The Japan Tourism Agency made an announcement on their official website that the project was not approved as a governmental draft budget of FY 2012.

Teaser of Liar Game 2nd Live-Action Movie: Reborn

We have talked about the announcement of the second live-action movie of Manga series Liar Game two months ago. And now, the official website began streaming a 30-second trailer for the upcoming movie Reborn. In the teaser, you are able to see several characters that you are familiar with if you have followed the Japanese drama or the first movie. As we mentioned before, Nao Kanzaki (神崎 直), the female protagonist of the previous story are no longer the main character in the new movie (we don’t even know whether she will show up, sure I personally love to see Erika Toda (戸田恵梨香) in another upcoming movie SPEC.) Shinichi Akiyama (秋山 深一) played by Shota Matsuda (松田 翔太) will still be the protagonist and Shinomiya Yuu (篠宮ユウ) played by Mikako Tabe (多部 未華子) will be the heroine.

10,000 Free Tickets to Japan

Interesting piece of news from Danny Choo that the Japanese government is going to invit 10,000 foreigners to Japan in 2012 and pay for their travel. Certainly it is some kind of tourism and economy recover policy. The number of foreign visitors since earthquake and nuclear accident has dropped by a huge amount. The reason that we mention this news is it appears that Danny works with some Japanese government departments and  he can more or less convince them to choose you first. If you are interested in this event, go and visit Danny’s blog and learn more about the applying details.

The application has not yet started but you can keep an eye on the official website. Also you may want to drop by Danny’s blog and leave the appropriate information. Read through what he mentioned on the page and he will more or less increase the possibility that you will be chosen. Good luck.
