Kaku-San-Sei Million Arthur (拡散性ミリオンアーサー) is one of the few games that I play on iOS device. Since the introduction of the game from Square-Enix earlier this year, around one million users joined the game, though not sure how many still playing it due to all kinds of anger and complaints. We will get back to this shortly. According to the program on NicoNico yesterday in Japan, an Anime adaptation of the game was announced and will be aired in this Winter. Not quite sure how much we can count on this but the scenario itself was written by Kazuma Kamachi (鎌池 和馬), the author of light novel Toaru Majutsu no Index (とある魔術の禁書目録) and Toaru Kagaku no Railgun (とある科学の超電磁砲) and we are more or less confident with the story. Will get back to this if the Anime adaptation is officially confirmed.
As a player of the game, would like to share some experience but guess few of us have actually played it. It’s, to be more objective, one of the top card game in the industry. Unlike other similar game, the updates are frequent, and events were constantly held. And most importantly, with all those users join in, as well as money, the company managed to get contribution of illustrations from lots of well known illustrators which is probably the most critical thing to a card game. I have written a review of game and you can learn more about it.
Now here comes the evil part. To play the game, what you need is to be exceptional lucky or you are fairly rich to spend your money on the game. The Gacha system (smells like lottery) will give you one card randomly and in most cases (which is 99%), the card you will get is just very normal, aka, a useless one. Personally experience, I have never ever get anything good from this lottery system and luckily I never spent a dime on it. There are countless examples but lets just stay away from them. So, if you haven’t played the game, I would definitely recommend you to stay away from it and save your hard earned money for something good instead. As for the Anime, it will definitely attract the attention and will get back to this.
Dec 6. 2012 Due to recent update and the way Square-Enix is promoting the products to new players but leaving the existing players in the dust, I decided not to promote this game any more. The game itself is fine while the company is doing business wrongly.
