Anime ChannelJune 9, 2010Kowarekake no Orgel – Impression3by Snow 609 days ago Kowarekake no Orgel is a doujin anime released at the end of 2008 and start of 2009. It’s a one episode OVA. I wonder how many have actually seen this, since it’s not popular at all to my knowledge. It’s 2010 and I just heard of it like a week ago. The people behind this OVA aren’t just some random people, they’re somewhat renowned. A short synopsis: On a rainy day an ex-musician, Keiichiro, finds an android girl among the trash. His first thoughts were to just leave it as it is but ultimately he gives into his curiosity and takes her with him. Keiichiro takes the android for repair but since it’s an old model, the parts aren’t available any more. However, one day the android wakes up and meets Keiichiro and they become family. (Hideous aspect ratio, I know D= ) This OVA somewhat reminds me of Chobits, it’s really familiar if you’ve seen that series. Also about an android found in the trash and gets taken home and suddenly awakens. Kowarekake no Orgel is like most OVA’s quite short, about 25 minutes. For a doujin anime it’s really well made, the style of drawing is what I’m quite fond of. The name of the girl is Flower (ふらわ), I suppose Keiichiro called her that because she was holding a sunflower when he found her. Since flower is quite old her memory is tarnished and for her to remember what she does each day, Keiichiro buys her a drawing book so that she can use it as a diary. Her dream is to visit the sea someday. Anyway, some cute pictures of her . Flower finds Keiichiro’s stash =p. The OVA was pretty sad but since it was so short I wasn’t able to connect with the characters. Everything went too fast but still, give this a watch, this is my first doujin OVA =).
711June 10, 2010 Hey there! Long time no post ><Anyway, nice finding, I didn't heeard and/or bothered finding out about this OVA. Although it seems as predictable as these stuff gets I will still give it a go, it's only 25 minutes so no big investment anyway ^^Just one quick reminder/suggestion/whatever… this is not a review by any means, it's just a heads-up about a show. You might want to change that on the title on upcoming impressions.Reply
SnowJune 10, 2010 Heya, indeed a long time no see. I haven’t been really active last month, since I was busy with my exams but I’ve gotten a little more active this month.Yeah, I couldn’t come up with another word other than review, but you’re right, it’s really superficial. I’ll change it to impression instead, hehe, found a word that suits ^^”.The anime itself was in my opinion a fair watch, it was just 25 minutes so yeah . Don’t get any high expectations though, it’s still a doujin anime.
