Medaka Box Anime Adaptation Confirmed0

According to the latest issue (43) of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, Manga series Medaka Box (めだかボックス) is green-lit for Anime. Medaka Box is a Manga series illustrated by Akira Akatsuki (暁月 あきら) and written by Nisio Isin (西尾 維新), who happened to bea famous writer for his masterpieces like Bakemonogatari (化物語), Kizumonogatari (傷物語), Nisemonogatari (偽物語) and so forth. Thus we probably won’t need to worry a lot about the senario for both the Manga and the Anime.

Summary of the plot: Medaka Kurokami, the recently elected Student Council President of Hakoniwa Academy, has instituted a suggestion box in order to collect suggestions and improvements from fellow academy students. Together with Zenkichi Hitoyoshi, she solves problems, from finding lost dogs to cleaning up club buildings and even fixing personalities. During the course of the series, Kouki Akune and Mogana Kikaijima are recruited to the student council to help improve the school.

The series gives me some similar feeling about Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakama-tachi (オオカミさんと七人の仲間たち) which also talks about helping students to solve problem even though most of them include fighting against other parties. And personally I am quite interested in the series and it has a quite balance on the gender issue, and no more Harem. So far, no specific release date was announced and further information will be released along with the next issue of the magazine.
