Noboru Yamaguchi, Author of Zero no Tsukaima Suffers from Cancer

We have reported last week on the news that the author of Zero no Tsukaima (ゼロの使い魔), Noboru Yamaguchi (ヤマグチノボル) to undergo a major surgery in August this year, without the mention of the illness. Early this morning, reported on the official website of MediaFactory, the author revealed that he has being suffering from Cancer for a while and was to undergo Surgery in August.

Zero no Tsukaima

In the announcement, the Noboru said the Cancer was detected back in February. The Cancer spread so fast which Surgery could not be taken at that moment so he decided to take anticancer drug to extend his life. In May, Noboru went to the hospital again for a Surgery for the gallstone disease. Luckily, the surgeon found the Cancer is down to a level that Surgery can be taken. Thus the author decided to take the Surgery in early August.

As for the light novel Zero no Tsukaima, which the author also mentioned in the announcement, even though he had already finished the plot of the final volume (22nd) of the series, he still won’t be able to finish them before schedule due to the Surgery. The release will be delay at least to October.

But anyway, it’s good to learn that Noboru Sensei is still in a positive attitude and we are sure to support and back him up. Folks can reach Noboru Sensei by his Twitter and send me encouragement and supports even though I guess he has no time to reply to all those messages. May the force be with you.
