Manga ChannelJuly 23, 2010One Manga getting closed down4by YoU 565 days ago Many of you might have heard already but One Manga, thé site for scanlations is getting closed down. The site might not be shut down entirely, however they did decide to remove all manga whether licensed or not. It’s kind of a shame really, but to be honest I’m not really a manga reader. For the real manga fanatics nothing much changes since groups are still going to release anyway. For the noobies, it’s going to be harder to find their stuff, harder but not impossible of course. How do you guys feel about OM getting closed down?As for what I’ve been doing, not much really.. Enjoying the weather I suppose =) and the summer season. Doing some fansubbing work, which isn’t as easy as it seemed to be D=
SimonsayzhighJuly 24, 2010 I should smack you in the face for smugly behavior. You know this serves as a metaphor to the end of all free manga as we know it. It just goes downhill from here on.Reply
SnowJuly 24, 2010 Are you serious? People don’t care about copyright and whatnot.. look at Piratebay, they’re still there even though they’ve been into court countless of times.. Also.. see the anime licensed by Funi and Crunchy.. groups like HorribleSubs just rip their subs and video and spread it across the web not caring about anything. Don’t be ignorant, find some torrents to get the scans, nothing changes for people before One Manga’s time.
TotalOtakuAugust 1, 2010 You can still use mangafox, mangatoshokan, zenmanga , mangareader, and countless others. I do fear they might have to start closing one by one as well.Reply
SnowAugust 1, 2010 Thanks for the tips on the other manga sites, people that actually do read manga might appreciate it =D. Lets hope the servers are somewhere in a country that doesn’t give a crap about copyright =p
