Recommendation: Vampire Knight0

Vampire Knight (ヴァンパイア騎士) is a shoujo manga and anime series written by Matsuri Hino (樋野まつり). The series premiered in the January 2005 issue of LaLa magazine and is still on-going.

Two drama CDs were created for the series, as well as a twenty-six episode anime adaptation. The anime series’ first season (13 episodes) aired on April 8, 2008 and the second one (13 episodes) which titled Vampire Knight Guilty aired from October 7, 2008 to December 30, 2008. The earliest memory of Yuki Cross (黒主 優姫) was a snowy night in winter that she was saved by Kaname Kuran (玖蘭 枢), a pure-blood vampire when she was under attacked by another vampire. 10 years later, Yuki becomes a high school student and lives as an adopted daughter of the Headmaster of Cross Academy, Kaien Cross (黒主 灰閻). In order to realize Kaien’s dream which vampires are able to coexist peacefully with humans, Yuki works with Zero Kiryu (錐生 零), a childhood companion whose parents were killed by a pure-blood vampire, as school guardians.

The plot is simple and conventional but meanwhile cliffhanging. Most of funs who have read the manga or watched the anime may have various ideas about what will happen to Yuki, Kaname and Zero. I didn’t reveal any important lines in the post since I don’t want to ice your enthusiasm before actually watching the series though some fans don’t pay much attention to it. Since I’ve attracted by lots of Shoujo manga recently, say, Skip Beat!, I do recommend Vampire Knight to you.
