Recommended Anime of October 2014

A month has passed and wonder how you are enjoying new series of the season. We had a long list in our previous post but ended up just a handful in my own watch list, probably due to time constrain or whatever other factors matter. We do have some really good ones out here and if you are not seeing them below, let us know.

Amagi Brilliant Park

Amagi Brilliant Park / 甘城ブリリアントパーク (EP13)

One of the best show of the season, definitely. Produced by Kyoto Animation and we are more or less loved the series since the beginning, let alone we’ve mentioned the title or titles written by the same author like Full Metal Panic and yes, we do see the Fumoffu once again.

However, the story doesn’t seem to get a nice development in recent episodes and still we have much to expect in this early stage.

Log Horizon Second Season

Second season of the series and we are more than happy to find Akatsuki back, with a little tweak on the character design which some of us might find it difficult to adjust in the first episode. But it’s the same Log Horizon we enjoyed earlier this year.

Madan no Ou to Vanadis

This is probably my personal favorite of the season. We had a interesting fight and talked between our male and female protagonists, and Tigre, our male protagonist, has some rare characteristics failed to be found in recent titles. With a bit of Harem and Ero, the series shines with its own story and plot.

Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works

Sure we cannot forget to mention the most popular title of the season. Judging from the fact the HF route of the series will be premiere as a movie in the coming years, we are more or less about to see all the works of Type-Moon jumping out of the text and onto the screen, with some remakes like Tsukihime.

If you have already watched the TV Anime, you will be amazed by how gorgeous the animation and graphics look like. This is way above movie quality in the Anime industry these years. So sit back and enjoy the show.

This is the only PA Works title that I found hard to recommend. Apart from the well tradition of great animation and graphics, it is really difficult to find something to talk about. The same applies to the PA Works title GlassLip in the previous season. A good series is not only about a beautiful face, a well composed story is something the company really need at this moment. However, for fans who want to have a taste of what an animation company looks like and how this industry works, the series has a real life experience for you.
