Third week of the new season, wonder how you like the new series so far. It’s a great season and we have lots of really awesome series. After watching the first two episodes of almost each title, guess have to decide whether each of them worth our time. Of course, these are all based on preference. Most of the sequel series are above my expectation this month, like one of the favorite Rinne no Lagrange (輪廻のラグランジェ), Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon (境界線上のホライゾン) and Yuru Yuri (ゆるゆり). Of course, we cannot fail to mention some of those promising series like like Sword Art Online (ソードアート・オンライン).
Sword Art Online / ソードアート・オンライン
Probably the best series of the season. The series was written by the same author of Accel World and the two pretty much within the similar genre. The story turned out to be great from the start, and the second episode also confirmed our expectation. Well, you may have already expected some similar plot right from the beginning and as a fan of .hack series, I would say that we have no reason to not to follow. The original novel turned out to be a long one (and has several arcs) and as an TV Anime of 25 episodes, we might be able to find out the ending of the SAO arc. In all, if you can only watch one series this Summer, guess it would be SAO.
Rinne no Lagrange Second Season / 輪廻のラグランジェ season 2
Second season of the series, still, quite good and we saw a lot of Yuri in the latest episode. The quality is high and the story is interesting, yet Yuri. If you do remember how we liked the first season of the series, you may not want to miss the second part.
Another work by P.A.Works, we probably have no reason not to follow if you are a fan of Hana-saku Iroha. These series have similar attributes like great character design and interesting plot, and of course, cute story happening surround cute girls.
Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon Second Season / 境界線上のホライゾン II
This is probably another best series of the season and it is my personal choice of “if I can follow only one series”. The second season continued with the first one, but skip some part that fans who are not familiar with the story might have a hard time to understand. The character and story settings are quite unique and of course, a bit difficult especially for foreign fans who may not learn a lot about Japanese history. Of course, you don’t need all that knowledge to enjoy the show. The first two episodes are quite fast pace and I simply cannot wait for the next one.
Kokoro Connect / ココロコネクト
Had a huge expectation on the series but it turned out to be just above average. Were expecting some complicated love stories but it turned out to be some interesting yet unusual plot. Switching characteristics among your friends sounds like a fun to watch.
Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita / 人類は衰退しました

This series probably has no other strong points to bit the rest of the season. But if you are a fan of Mai Nakahara (中原 麻衣), you may want to stay with it. Mai’s voice is just the best fit for the female protagonist and if you do like it, you will find the series quite interesting and unique.
Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse / マブラヴ オルタネイティヴ トータル・イクリプス
Lots of rumors including the fire of the original illustrator due to the copycat behavior (which I am quite fine with since the illustration is great and most artworks are kind of copycat one way or another if you really want to define it), the first episode just disappointed loads of the fans due to the terrible old fashion character design. However, the second episode just turned things around and fans are liking it again.
Yuru Yuri Second Season / ゆるゆり♪♪
Well, it’s the second season of the series and you probably don’t need any introduction. It’s fun to watch in your spare time.
Binbogami ga! / 貧乏神が！

Another good series of the season, the story is quite interesting and the cast list is powerful enough not just because Kana Hanazawa (花澤香菜) is playing the female protagonist.
Moyashimon Returns / もやしもん リターンズ
Waited for the second season for a long time and finally here it is. The story continues with the previous season and if you want to have a good understanding of the characters and story, you may want to take a look into the first season. It’s a really good series and you will sure like it.
Natsuyuki Rendezvous / 夏雪ランデブー

Quite a unique series of the season, not just because the female protagonist looks like the man because of her new hairstyle. This is a love triangle among a wife, dead husband and a young man. Well, to round it up, we’d like to tag it with NTR but her husband was dead and became a ghost and preventing our poor male protagonist from getting closer to his wife. Of course we cannot fail to mention the music of the series is quite good and we are looking forward to the release of the CD in the following months.
Joshiraku / じょしらく

This is another casual series revolves around several girls. The story mainly focuses on the discussion among the five main characters and finally reaches an unusual or humorous conclusion.
Harem Series of the Season
Loads of Harem series this summer and it’s often a personal preference to choose which to follow. So we just pick several that are of acceptable quality below.
Oda Nobuna no Yabou / 織田信奈の野望
Among all the Harem series, Oda Nobuna no Yabou appears to be my favorite. Old story about female version of Sengoku period and Oda, the plot seems quite interesting to watch compared with the rest of the Harem family.
Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate / 恋と選挙とチョコレート
A typical Galgame made Anime, full of Harem and Galgame story. A huge wasteful academy where students control everything, and even including gun shot and car crash into our poor journalist. Not sure what the author was thinking but guess it’s the way to attract attentions and let everybody think the story is unique. In fact, except the character design, there are just few reason for you to follow. But if you are a fan of Harem series, you may just want to stick with it.
Kono Naka ni Hitori, Imouto ga Iru! / この中に1人、妹がいる！
Another very very traditional and typical Galgame series, even worse than Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate we mentioned above. A wealthy male protagonist and lots of female protagonists who suddenly become unusually friendly. Everything looks so money orientated, even the party gives us a feeling of a fancy day dream where everybody just watch our protagonist dancing. The phone call from so-called Imouto sounds like a threatening phone call and we can still telling a list of points to complain. Well, if you go back and think again, it’s a Galgame, it’s Harem, then everything is just so clear.
Dakara Boku wa H ga Dekinai. / だから僕は、Hができない。
We have a lot of Harem series this season, and this one is among the unsafe side and you may need to be above 18 to watch. You will get all the Ecchi stuffs and quite good character design while simply ignoring the plot.
Campione! / カンピオーネ！
The old, rusty and Chuunibyou (中二病) orientated story about another god killer (no, not our Touma Kamijou), we cannot skip it simply because Youko Hikasa (日笠 陽子) is playing the female protagonist! Congratulations to Youko Hikasa’s 27th birthday at the meanwhile. Also when we mention Harem, we cannot fail to mention Ecchi stuff. The story appears to be in the safe side.
