Recorder to Randoseru TV Anime to be Aired this Winter

Meme Higashiya’s (東屋めめ) four-panel Manga series Recorder to Randoseru (リコーダーとランドセル, Recorder and Satchel) just announced its TV Anime adaptation. The announcement was made on the official Twitter of Mangaoh Club (まんが王倶楽部). The word Randoseru can be translated into English as Satchel, a term to describe school bag, and in this case, it specifically refers to the school bag of elementary school students.

A light is probably threw into your mind. Another Usagi Drop or RO-KYU-BU? We have a few elementary students series in the Summer season, but Recorder to Randoseru seems to have a very different style from Usagi Drop’s heart-warming and RO-KYU-BU’s fan service story.

Recorder to Randoseru

Synopsis: Miyagawa Atsushi is an 11-year-old boy. Since he is 180 centimeters tall and has a grown-up looking build, he has always been running into troubles. On the other hand, his 17-year-old elder sister Atsumi is only 137 centimeters tall and has a childish looking build. Atsumi takes good care of Atsushi, who acts his true age. (via MAL)

From the above synopsis, you can probably tell that the series is something really weird. But it’s a bit catching my mind from the first glance. The series will be aired in January 5th 2012. You may want to check it out.
