Remembering Steve Jobs1

When I first heard of the news yesterday evening, I was shocked. But this is no joking, we all have to accept the truth. Steve is gone, the world has lost a visionary, a creative genius and an amazing human being, and we lost a great teacher. If we say Bill Gates brought us the Computer, then Steve stroke the innovative revolution on us. The world has changed become of these two geniuses. And now one is gone, genius becomes lonely. Bill met Steve for more than 30 years, and described their relationship as colleagues, competitors and friends over the course of more than half their lives.

I was also influenced a lot by Steve. WWDC and other Apple news press events are my favorite programs. I was able to learn a lot from Steve, truly. I learned his style of presenting, speak, preparing for slideshows, and they are extremely useful for my business class. It also happend that all the current members of TheAkiba are using Mac too. We were all changed because of Steve. I like Steve more than Apple, the company without the legend, it’s just a company, just like Microsoft without Bill is no longer be competitive as the Microsoft we knew. Today, we can more or less expect the stock price of AAPL to continuously drop as people may start to lose faith in the company after the iPhone 4S press conference. And I miss him, the genius I used to see on my screen, standing here and tell me how the world was going to be.

Let’s remember Steve. He is going home, sweet home.

Even after raising the Apple brand back in the day and being fired, he went on to successfully develop another blossoming addition to the film industry—Pixar Animation Studios. And subsequently returning to bring the 'world to our fingertips' with the introduction of the iPod and its predecessors, much ahead of their time~
