Anime ChannelJanuary 24, 2012Rumor: Toaru Majutsu no Index Third Season Coming?11by YoU 30 days ago According to the post on Mikatan’s blog, we learned that Toaru Majutsu no Index (とある魔術の禁書目録) will take some moves within the year, while the new move of Railgun project remains a secret. To interpret these lines, we can tell that there will be a new project of Toaru Majutsu no Index coming this year besides the movie we mentioned last year. Judging from the fact we still don’t know the premiere date of the movie, a third season of the TV Anime could be something that we are waiting for. As for the Railgun series, there should be one but the date remains unknown. It could be at the end of this year or some time next year. Mikatan is a staff of Good Smile Company and the promotion message could be some insider talk. Thus the statement on the company culture blog could add more weights to your confidence. Stay tuned and will post more updates on this. Toaru Majutsu no Index Action Magic Sci-Fi Super PowerTouma Kamijou’s right hand, the Imagine Breaker, will negate all magic, psychic, or divine powers, but not his own bad luck. One day he finds a young girl hanging on his balcony railing. She turns out to be a nun from the Church of England, and her mind has been implanted with the Index-Librorum-Prohibitorum – all the magical texts the Church has removed from circulation.NewsReviewsWebsite 9.48 /10 23 votes8.7OUR2008YEARPG13RATINGG: All ages admitted. temperrareyJanuary 24, 2012 i really hope this is true, i have been waiting for the third season ever since the second season ended. This is by far one of my favorite series.Reply
puddingJanuary 24, 2012 I don’t mean to insult the main series, but I would much rather prefer another season of Railgun.Reply
saitohamaJanuary 24, 2012 Right with you on this one—although Index is considered the “parent” series, it was Railgun that really caught my attention and has remained one of my very favorite anime series of all time. I actually had the time a couple months ago to go through and watch Index I & II and liked the story over all, but I was mostly drawn to the ‘side-plot’ involving Touma and Mikoto (Kuroko, Last Order, etc.).Espers over magicians any day
WanteiJanuary 27, 2012 I totally agree i would rather see more of Misaka than the guy who “NEVER” dies…
Dick75January 24, 2012 I have nothing against this show it wasn’t bad, but I will never understand why it’s as popular as it is because it wasn’t great.Reply
ScoutenJanuary 25, 2012 i agree completely Dick75 Majutsu no Index is amazingly mediocre atleast accelerator is finally getting some screen time so i dont have to watch the the plain and boring Touma 90% of the time. They should instead of doing a third season do a spin off like Railgun but for Last order and Accelerator! it would be 100% more interesting than what ever they are going to carbon copy for this seasonReply
Dick75January 25, 2012 yeah accelerator is definitely more interesting than Touma. As a matter of fact i hate Touma because he has no depth whatsoever. He’s just the hero guy who does hero stuff for hero reasons. I’m not saying you have to be a dark hero like accelerator but at least when he does hero stuff there’s a clear reasoning behind it.
JackJanuary 26, 2012 I remember showing my friends Index I and II and Railgun and they all got addicted to them instantly. And as for the reason why I think they’re popular, especially Railgun; I can go on for ages and ages such that I’m better off saving it for a dedicated article.Reply
WanteiJanuary 27, 2012 Well, I’ve read the novel and honestly i don’t think its gonna end…its reaaaaalllyyy long…Reply
taikaichuJanuary 27, 2012 Seems that I’m the only one who prefer Index over Railgun… Not for Touma nor Accelerator, but for Index herself. She’s the strongest char of the series (Jhon’s pen mode). Not even Touma’s right hand could handle it (if it wasn’t because of Steyr, his right hand would easily be destroyed on that episode when she used the Saint George Sanctuary and Dragon’s Breath spell on him…)Reply
