Saki New TV Anime Project Announced0

So it dated back for a while when we talking about whether there will be a second season of Anime series Saki and we left the question behind us for an update coming upon the release of the 8th volume of the Manga on June 25th. Happily we are ahead of our schedule and we are able to get the news update today.

According to the pic below from the latest volume of the Manga, a new TV Anime Project of Saki (咲-saki-) has been green-lit for production. Also a new spin-off Manga series Saki Achika Hen: episode of side A (咲-saki-阿知賀編 episode of side-A) was announced and will be available in the September issue of GanGan. It will be illustrated by Aguri Igarashi (五十嵐あぐり), who also made illustrations for Bamboo Blade if you remembered.

So far, we have no confirmed source whether it would be a second season or simply a new project. But think again, you might find out that it should be a second season otherwise they won’t put such a title on the original Manga jacket. As we all know that Anime Saki has no other side stories except the coming spin-off one. Correct me if I got this wrong. Will bring more updates on the date and other details. Stay tuned.
