Some of you may have noticed that when you highlight some text in the post a blue “Respond” bubble will fade in around your mouse. This is a new trick I got just now from Jim Jeffers who demonstrates the function in helping improving discussion on blog.

Jim uses the jQuery to implement the function and you can have a clear view about how it works on his blog. In Jim’s post, several functions are also mentioned but right now it is only able to highlight the article itself on TheAkiba. This is an open source project and you can check out Jim’s public repository and download the code.
