At the end of the second movie, Asuka (惣流) was boomed and Kaworu Nagisa (渚 カヲル) shows up by sending a lance through then body of EVA Unit 01. It appears in the teaser trailer that Asuka loses one of her eyes and might be able to get the 400% synchronization again as the old movie. Check out the trailer below.
<figure

This time, the figure was produced by Max Factory and will be ready to release in November at around 7,800JPY. As you can tell from her suit, the figure is from the movie of the series Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance. You can pre-order her at J-List and Amazon Japan. Also, here’s another Asuka figure from Kotobukiya quite worth mention.

The first time I watched the TV Anime took back in elementary (secondary?) school time. It was one of my favorite series at my early age, and, of course, as well as grownup. It is a good series and I was terrified while watching the 19th episode which Unit 01 (初号機, Shogouki) fights against ZERUEL (ゼルエル). It’s bloody but impressive. And Asuka was my favorite character at that moment and was sad that she was no longer the pilot of Unit 02 at late stage. The remake of the movie is quite good and looking forward for the third episode (four in total) to be released.

<ul

In the favorite female characters column (思い入れのある歴代女性キャラ) of the magazine, the editors picked up the top 30 female from all Anime that you can think of. Of course, the ranking was done by reader voting and with a huge number of sample (for those who want to use some statistics to make some sense), the result is pretty persuasive and pretty much reflect the current Anime trends and behaving as a good example to those directors who want to make the next “most welcomed” Anime series.

Is there anything called monopoly in the Anime industry? If there were one, you are now looking at an example. As you can see in the magazine scan below, K-ON! has won this battle and pretty much dominated the top five. With Yui Hirasawa (平沢 唯) as the top, Azusa Nakano (中野 梓) second, Ritsu Tainaka (田井中 律) as forth and Mio Akiyama (秋山 澪) as fifth. One exception is that Tsumugi Kotobuki (琴吹 紬) ranked at 30, the last in the ranking. Pretty surprised to see this but guess it was because of her thick eyebrows.

The one that kicked away K-ON!’s perfect victory is Kagura (神楽) from Anime Gintama (銀魂), ranking in the third place. We also see other interesting characters, like Rei Ayanami (綾波 レイ) from Neon Genesis Evangelion (新世紀エヴァンゲリオン) at 6th; Haruhi Suzumiya (涼宮ハルヒ) at 7th; Sheryl Nome (シェリル・ノーム) at 15th and C.C. at 21st.

<img

With Yui Hirasawa (平沢 唯) still ranking in the first place and Kagura (神楽) in the same third position. Check it out below.

TheAkiba.

Hey guys. I’m still relatively new here at TheAkiba but be rest assured I’m already hard at work with the rest of the team to bring you bigger and better things! Just want to thank Snow for giving me the idea for this post. Oh, before I continue my main (wireless) internet connection went down and as a result I’m forced to use a (very) slow wired one, so I won’t be uploading any pictures. Guess the post won’t be pretty =/

So anyway, today I’m just going to tell you a bit about what sort of Anime I like. Now for the rest of the post to make sense, I’ll talk about myself for a bit. I live in Australia, which is one of only four countries in the world which sells internet services pretty much by the megabyte (Download quotas). As a result the Internet is quite expensive, not to mention we get lousy caps and the speed is horrible (Around 50th in the world last time I checked). What does this have to do with anything? You’ll see soon enough.

I generally take each Anime as they come, so whether it is a Comedy, Romance, Action or whatever else if it’s good, it’s good.

One Piece

I just love it, everything is great. I’ve only seen up to about just after the Crocodile part in the English Dub versions.

Dragon Ball Z

Awesome sauce this one is. Back in the day the the fillers didn’t bother me but watching 3 episodes of talking per one episode of fighting is a bit much. This might give you a bit of a laugh.

Angel Beats!

Another high quality Anime. Yes the pacing issues do cause a few problems but that didn’t matter for me. I’m currently following the Manga for this and anything else I can get my hands on.

Clannad (and Clannad After Story)

I’ve only recently completed watching every episode (university for the win) and I must say the character and story progression is amazing. The emotional depth is well done too.

Escaflowne

I have only watched the movie, that’s it. I know there is a manga and a TV show (which is vastly different to the movie). Based on the movie this was fantastic.

Appleseed Ex Machina

I haven’t seen anything else besides this, the first action sequence was well choreographed. The other fight scenes were alright. The story was decent although it doesn’t hold up as well as it could for someone who watches it as a stand alone movie.

Neon Genesis Evangelion

I really don’t know what I’ve seen. I think I’ve seen the first episode and the last movie. I can’t remember. Point is this whatever I saw, I liked it very much.

Soul Taker

Like the previous point, not sure what I’ve seen. Unlike the previous point I didn’t like it too much.

Blood+ (Movie)

This hasn’t done any wonders for me.

Final Fantasy: Advent Children

This was good, especially since it was enough of a stand alone movie for me to have understood what was going on. I haven’t played the original PlayStation game (I had a N64 back in those days) but I know about the series in general.

Astro Boy

Not the manga, Not the show in the 80′s and while the movie last year or the year before was enjoyable It’s debatable whether it is ‘good’. I’m referring to the 2003 Animated series. Classic.

Hellsing

Another show where I’ve only seen a handful of episodes. I’m not the biggest fan of monsters, horror, heavy gore and all related categories but the story was good from what I have seen and the action was done quite tastefully.

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex

This goes in the same boat as the last point, although I’ve seen quite a number of episodes I haven’t seen it from start to finish. The drama elements and the action scenes are integrated nicely together.

There are definitely a few more I wanted to list, but most of these would have been one-off viewings from whatever my DVD store had to offer. Besides the above anime that I haven’t fully finished, I also want to watch Fate/Stay Night and Claymore. Probably a lot more but my memory isn’t what it used to be.

Oh, before I finish up I’ll do some impressions of what I am watching from the current anime season. A lot of the Anime I watch is because I found a wallpaper or something else in which I liked the art. The rest is usually from reading impressions/reviews (aka TheAkiba).

Amagami SS

I’ve seen the first Arc in this new series. Overall this is quite a good one, only some of it’s humour appeals to me but the art design, the characters and nice bit size pieces of story work well.

Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakamatachi

One episode watched so far. Some parts I thought were pretty funny. The first episode I enjoyed enough to warrant watching the rest of it.

tl;dr – I like Anime.

If you want to see what I do outside TheAkiba you can visit <a

Somebody said it is a novel, no idea. Here’s the plot.

” In the world where the actions of Kaji Ryouji helped Nerv escaped the invasion of Seele and the Human Instrumentality Project was not invoked. Shinji now 17 and the watermelon he has been growing last year…” It also says that ANIMA is an “if” series and DHM also seem to say its a alternate world. Super Eva will appear in the next chapter “Eva01 lost” (rough trans). Evas: For the Eva 01 F-type, it seems to have no change from the original data from the wiki. For ANIMA, it has redesigned arms and shoulders. Not sure of their function or if there is any function. For the Eva 01 F-type, it says that after 01 is heavily damaged by Armisael(16th Angel), its core is retieved and brought back and stored in Central Dogma. It is then rebuilt with the parts of prototype 00 and the new F-type parts into a specialized sniper type. It’s left arm is replaced with the Field Sinker equipment Angel’s Spine which seem to shoot AT Field to sink AT Fields. No S2 engine. Its right leg is replaced too with some thingy that help to stabilize it when shooting.

Some scans from 2007 November edition of Dengeki.

<a
