Rumor: Toaru Majutsu no Index Third Season Coming?

According to the post on Mikatan’s blog, we learned that Toaru Majutsu no Index (とある魔術の禁書目録) will take some moves within the year, while the new move of Railgun project remains a secret. To interpret these lines, we can tell that there will be a new project of Toaru Majutsu no Index coming this year besides the movie we mentioned last year. Judging from the fact we still don’t know the premiere date of the movie, a third season of the TV Anime could be something that we are waiting for. As for the Railgun series, there should be one but the date remains unknown. It could be at the end of this year or some time next year.

Mikatan is a staff of Good Smile Company and the promotion message could be some insider talk. Thus the statement on the company culture blog could add more weights to your confidence. Stay tuned and will post more updates on this.

International Saimoe 2011 Final Standings

The International Saimoe 2011 was just ended and we have the result below. Well, the winner, as you may have already known, it’s our super Tsundere character Misaka Mikoto (御坂美琴) from Toaru Majutsu no Index (とある魔術の禁書目録). That could possibly add more confidence to the upcoming movie of the series. If you take a look at the final standing, you can figure out most foreigners like Tsundere characters since there are three of them among the top five, which the other two backed by Kana Hanazawa (花澤香菜). There are totally four characters among the list who are backed by Kana Hanazawa, which scares me.

J.C. Staff Produces 6 Anime this Winter

Recently we have reported several announcements of movies coming next year. As for the new series coming this winter in January, you should have some clues in mind if you checked out our listing here. In fact, one of the producers J.C. Staff is going to support around six series this winter, and you may start to doubt the quality of the upcoming series. Two TV Anime are extended from this Fall including Shakugan no Shana Final and Bakuman 2. The second season of Tantei Opera Milky Holmes (探偵オペラミルキィホームズ) is also scheduled to aired this winter and there should be a joy to the fans of Loli. Apart from the above three series, we also have something new like Kill Me Baby (Moetron) and Ano Natsu de Matteru (あの夏で待ってる) which we have talked about a lot. Last but not least, the final season of Zero no Tsukaima (ゼロの使い魔) which you should never miss.

Of course, we cannot fail to mention the movie that J.C. Staff is also working on: Toaru Majutsu no Index (とある魔術の禁書目録). We confirmed the news last month and according to the information available, the movie should have a brand new story about the panic in Academy City. Most of the Fall series are among the mid-point now, how do you like them? We have many must-watch series this Fall and guess you’re all having a good time. Toaru Majutsu no Index Movie Announced

This is totally unexpected but still it comes. According to the announcement on the official website of TV Anime series Toaru Majutsu no Index (とある魔術の禁書目録), the movie of the series is confirmed and more details will be revealed in the upcoming issue of Dengeki Bunko Magazine (電撃文庫) on October 11. It appears that suddenly all the producers gain extra funding from the government and ready to pour it into a more profitable industry. If you heard of the news of Blood-C which gain support from the Japanese government, you probably understand what I mean. We have already reported several movie adaptation last month, including Ao no Exorcist (青の祓魔師, Blue Exorcist), Blood-C, STEINS;GATE and Rurouni Kenshin (るろうに剣心).

I personally blogged about the series for a few episodes for the first season. I am sure that I did not know too much about blogging and writing reviews at that time but the series was pretty much one of my favorite. The second season of the series was aired since October last year as one of the most well rated Fall series. Now, one year later, the series announced its movie. Very impressive. Even though I was expecting a second season of Toaru Kagaku no Railgun (とある科学の超電磁砲) instead of this movie.

Off topics, several TV series were aired yesterday, including the long expected Fate/Zero and Hunter x Hunter. How do you like them. As our readers said in the guide post, this season is really universe and guess most of us really don’t have time to watch them all. The newly aired series turned out to be much better than I expected, say, C3, a much better Harem series backed by a well known novel.

Official Website Updated, Zero no Tsukaima 4th Season Coming 2012

The official website of TV Anime series Zero no Tsukaima (ゼロの使い魔) updated two days ago right after the announcement of coming fourth season. Some folks may be misled by the information spread across the web but the truth is, the 4th season is not coming this October. According to the author Noboru Yamaguchi (ヤマグチノボル) mentioned on Twitter, the 4th season will be aired in 2012. Not date was specified.

Take a look at Louise’s new costume, it looks a bit familiar with what Index is wearing in series To Aru Majutsu no Index. Also, apart from the new costume, Louise looks totally different from what in the previous three seasons even the character design does not seem to be changed a lot. Fans who have followed the light novel may get an idea of what’s going on here. We can tell from the illustration above on the official website, the story seems to be started from around volume 14, Aquileia’s Saint (水都市の聖女) of the light novel. However, if the final season has only 13 episodes like the previous seasons, it’s not going be ended the way the light novel will be since there is a total of 22 volumes of the novel.

As I currently following the light novel at volume 19, there are lots of story between volume 14 and volume 19 and they can even made a whole 13 episodes out of it. In this case, the author also mentioned on the Twitter above that he will be deeply involved in the production of the new season, thus we might expect that either the end of the Anime will be a bit different with the novel (shortened), or there will be more than 13 episodes coming (something like 26 will be great). Either way, we are going to really enjoy this final season.

Rumor: To Aru Kagaku no Railgun Second Season Coming?

We have been talking about this for a while and it seems we are getting more clues this time. According to the pic below, the SPECIAL box of series To Aru Kagaku no Railgun (とある科学の超電磁砲, A Certain Scientific Railgun) will be released on August 31 containing music, illustraoins and everything fans may like. It also mentioned that with all the content inside the box, fans will be quite satisfied even the second season of the series has not yet arrived. To interpret this message, we can get the basic idea about the process of the second season which is, may not be able to come in this year with the release date of the special box on late August. But luckily, we finally confirmed it is coming even though there were rumors quite a while ago.

As fans may have already noticed, the series, including To Aru Majutsu no Index has a preference of being aired in October. We have the first season of To Aru Majutsu no Index aired back in October 2008 and the second season in October 2010. As for To Aru Kagaku no Railgun, the first season was aired in October 2009, thus it would be a better guess if we assume it will be aired in October 2011, this year. But as we have interpreted above, we may not able to have it this year and guess why they made an OVA for the delay. As for the schedule of the airing, our guess is it could be around Winter or Spring season next year, that is January or April 2012.

Man Arrested for Stealing Ruiko Saten Figure

Reported on July 12 on MSN news in Japan, a 47-year old man was arrested for stealing Ruiko Saten (佐天涙子) PVC figure. According to the news, the suspect stole the figure (6400JPY) back on May 28 and ran away by leaving his membership card behind, including his real name and address. It pretty much seems to be like a well planned unique way of promotion of the figure to me rather than a ill planned robbery.

By matching the description of the news, what we can find is the figure below. Released in late January 2011, the 1/8 scale PVC figure was manufactured by Alter (アルター). Original from series To Aru Kagaku no Railgun (とある科学の超電磁砲), Saten, the 12 or 13 years old secondary school girl is well known for flipping Kazari Uiharu’s (初春飾利) skirt in public. Poor girl, I mean the later one. Even Saten is voiced by Kanae Itou (伊藤かな恵), I still don’t have many good feeling towards her.

Latest but not least, instead of stealing something that might get you caught by the police, you can get this figure on the follow online stores: Play-Asia, CDJapan and Amazon Japan.

To Aru Kagaku no Railgun 2nd Season Coming Soon?

Enjoy watching Anime series of the Winter season To Aru Majutsu no Index (とある魔術の禁書目録)? Still remember what happened at the very end of the last episode of the first season ended on March 2009? It was an announcement of the coming new series: To Aru Kagaku no Railgun (とある科学の超電磁砲). Same again, guess what will happen at the end of the 24th episode of the 2nd season of the series which will come to an end next week (if nothing happen)? A 2nd season of To Aru Kagaku no Railgun!

This is not a confirmed news but pure assumption. Dated back to some time last year rumors across the web revealed that there would be a second season but instead an OVA of To Aru Kagaku no Railgun was released. Apparently it is not enough for both the company and the fans and it would probably a good time for the coming of the second season of the series. Let’s just wait for the coming last episode of the 2nd season of To Aru Majutsu no Index.

Recommended Anime of October 2010

It’s time for a roundup of what’s hot in the season. Haven’t started following the watch list? Check out the previous post for a sum-up of what’s coming this season. There are many series run beyond my expectations and it’s an story that I don’t really have much time to follow all of them. Sadly, I will have to pick what’s the most suitable for me and, of course, for the rest of us.

Sora no Otoshimono: Forte (2nd Season) / そらのおとしもの f (フォルテ) (12 episodes)

Second season of the series and I don’t think there are many reasons to stop me from following them all. It’s awesome but it seems not very suitable for all ages You are warned. It’s a nice story and it runs out of the circle of normal Harem Anime, it’s fun, exciting and seductive. The Manga seems run slowly in the process and we should not be able to watch the third season in a year of two.

MM! / えむえむっ！ (12 episodes)

At first I thought this is not something I should follow. OK, I admit that I really like the cute girls in the official website and that’s why start my way. Right at the starting point of the first episode, I fell in love with it. The character is cute and again, it’s Jun Fukuyama (福山潤), guess I just love his voice. There’s no need to talk about the plot of the series and you might just love it since the first beginning. Definitely one of the best of the season and you will never want to miss it.

Bakuman. / バクマン。 (25 episodes)

Once I read the preview I started to like the series but when I watched the first episode, I got a little bit disappointed. Partly because of the success of the unusual propose, partly because of our male protagonist doesn’t seem to work hard for it. But I will stick to it, partly because it ranks the third in the Poll and partly because I still have faith in the plot that it could be extremely attractive soon.

The reason I follow this series is basically that I watched the first season and it’s quite good in all. Though the plot is a little bit old but the overall quality, the music and CVs are quite well. Will recommend to those who watched the first season.

Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai / 俺の妹がこんなに可愛いわけがない (12 episodes)

One of my favorite of the series besides MM!. Quite ironic that I didn’t take it a lot after I read the Manga a few months ago. It’s just terrible (Sorry, the illustrator of the Manga)! But if I started by reading the novel instead of the Manga, probably I would fall love with it. Never mind, and actually I have already fell in love with the series since the first episode. It’s awesome! Recommended to all fans, especially to those who has Imoutos Maybe you will find them more cute/not cute.

I assume you have either read the official website or see some posters about this series. It was aired on AT-X, and AT-X, you know what I mean. Thus, this series is not recommended for people under 18 and I have already surprised since the first episode, and of course, the latest episode, there are just too many scenes about Ecchi, guess they may just made another Ecchi Anime instead. The plot is as old as my broken bicycle and the only thing I like is the illustrators behind it.

Otome Youkai Zakuro / おとめ妖怪ざくろ (13 episodes)

This is quite good a series and it’s a shame that it attracts few attentions. The CV list is one of the most gorgeous ones of the season and the story is somehow interesting. Cannot stop laughing during the first episode and Takahiro Sakurai (櫻井孝宏) is quite good at his role

Shinryaku! Ika Musume / 侵略！イカ娘 (13 episodes)

Another fun series, talking about an IKA transformed to a little girl and how she conquer the world. Wrong, you got it totally wrong. We have three pieces of small stories each episode and laugh all the way to the end. You may want to have a try if you want to relax a bit from your heavy work. Try it out, you will get totally refreshed.

Motto To Love-Ru -Trouble- (2nd Season) / もっとTo LOVEる -とらぶる- (12 episodes)

The Manga of the series has started over again and it turns to be evil than ever before. I will get to know what I mean when you read it. But it’s a good news that the series came back to life again, especially such a great series like this one. Beside the Harem part, the love story or the main line of the story is quite unclear/clear. It’s good to finally have a chance to see how Rito make his decision.

Kami Nomi zo Shiru Sekai / 神のみぞ知るセカイ (12 episodes)

Actually the series is a little bit below my expectation. The character design is a little bit confused and I mistook the male protagonist as female. And what’s more, I have never see school uniform of this kind before, it’s just, unique. But anyway, the story seems to have a one-episode-per-story pattern and of course one-kiss-per-episode. Though it’s a little bit born but may follow it for while to check it out.

Quite a nice Harem Anime above my expectation. The overall quality is fine but the Harem part is a little bit too obvious and makes me a little uncomfortable

October 2010 New Anime Guide

YoU: Good movies I have watched and am pretty much expecting the Anime series to come out. You should not miss this one.

Snow: Marvel + Anime = recipe for awesomeness? I saw Iron Man 2 not too long ago and that movie really sucked but the anime looks really good. This kind of animation is what Marvel should’ve used. MadHouse <3

Tomoki Sakurai often encounters a strange girl in his dreams asking for his help, but he can’t remember her face when he wakes up. When an Unidentified Mysterious Animal (U.M.A.) falls out of the sky, his life of pacifism suddenly becomes complicated. The animal turns out to be an angel, Ikaros.

YoU: Quite different from Harem Anime of this kind, the plot is unique and the story is “attractive”. Fun to follow and it’s one of the must watch series.

The story centers the life of Taro Sado going through high school. He came to realize his masochist personality and attempts to conceal this from his crush. To fix it, he enrolled in his school’s “2nd Volunteer Club”.

YoU: Spotlight was given to this series way before October. Guess it could be one of the best of the season. It gives me a feeling of a similar kind to Seitokai Yakuindomo in the previous season.

Snow: The synopsis doesn’t give much away, if any at all. Guess I’ll have to watch and figure it out.

Bakuman. / バクマン。 (25 episodes)

Moritaka Mashiro, a junior high school student, content to live out a relatively normal life as any other does, is persuaded by his classmate, Akito Takagi, to become an aspiring mangaka when the latter realizes his natural talent as an artist. However, Moritaka is reluctant to pursue his dream as his uncle, once a mangaka with his own serializations, died from overwork trying to regain his lost status. With Akito’s help, Takagi gets another classmate and his school crush, Azuki Miho, who is an aspiring voice actress, to voice in the anime adaptation of their future manga once it is completed. However, Mashiro also proposes to Azuki, who surprisingly accepts only on the condition she will marry him when both of them have achieved their dreams. With a goal set before him, Mashiro begins a long and struggling path to become a famous mangaka.

YoU: One of the best among the season, it could be. Quite interesting plot and 25 episodes should be something we expect for. Good to follow.

Snow:Don’t miss out on this one folks, from what I’ve heard this is going to be a ride of your life, well.. maybe not but this will still be an awesome series( I do hope so). If I were to compare this to a series I know I’d say it’s somewhat in the direction of Honey and Clover, love that show! <3

Hakuouki Hekketsu-roku (2nd Season) / 薄桜鬼碧血録 (12 episodes)

Based on Idea Factory’s romance adventure game: Yukimura Chizuru has come to Kyoto looking for her father, a doctor who has gone missing. Taking her into custody, the Shinsengumi debates on what to do with Chizuru when they discover that she is the daughter of the doctor they are also looking for. The Shinsengumi then takes Chizuru along on their search after the missing doctor, from adventures to adventures.

YoU: Have watched the first season and am deem to follow even the first season didn’t give me too much thoughts into the series. Whatsoever, the character design is outstanding, good to the eyes.

Snow: I’ve seen season one and I’ve got to say, you really need to like this kind of humor if you want to make through the first 13 episodes. I moderately enjoyed season one and I’m looking forward to see more of Nino and Hoshii ( ORE NO T-SHIRT!) =D

Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai / 俺の妹がこんなに可愛いわけがない (12 episodes)

Kyosuke Kosaka, a normal seventeen-year-old high school student, hasn’t gotten along with his younger sister, Kirino, in years. For longer than he can remember, Kirino has ignored his comings and goings and looked at him with spurning eyes. YoU: Have read a few novel way before the series was announced. Stopped half way and it seems to be something way out of my understanding. Guess the reason is it is a light novel.

Snow: Ugh, some echhi anime with underaged girls.. Might watch one or two episodes if they don’t take things too far. I usually refrain from watching series like Kiss x Sis, B gata H kei etc.. One episodes is enough to decide to continue or drop with these kinds of series.

On a cross-shaped island in the South, a mysterious and gigantic humanoid robot known as the “Cybuddy” is discovered sealed in the underground ruins for untold ages. A group known as the “Order of the Glittering Star Cross” attempts to remove the seal by abducting a girl named Wako Agemaki, who they dubbed the “shrine maiden” and is the key to activating the robot. YoU: Have read the Manga before and the plot is just…plain. The only thing I like is the illustration by my favorite illustrator Hiro Suzuhira (鈴平ひろ) and Takashi Hashimoto (橋本タカシ).

Snow:This looks pretty interesting, even though I’m suspecting this will be some twincest series ^^”. I’m a romance genre freak so I’m definitely picking this series, it does give the same vibes as Myself;Yourself but I did kind of like that show .. I think since it’s been quite a long time xD.

One day when coming home and sulking in the bath-tub a mysterious, nude girl, appears out of nowhere. Her name is Lala and she comes from the planet Deviluke, where she is the heir to the throne. Her father wants her to return to her home planet so she can marry one of the husband candidates, but she decides that she wants to marry Rito in order to stay on Earth.

YoU: Another Harem series. The Manga was chopped half way and am pretty happy to have it came back to the screen. The Manga does not tell us what the ending is and will never do. Hoping the Anime of the 2nd season could provide a few hints.

Kami Nomi zo Shiru Sekai / 神のみぞ知るセカイ (12 episodes)

Keima Katsuragi is an avid galge gamer known at his school as “Otamega” (a derogatory term combining the words Otaku and Megane) and on the internet a “The Capturing God.” One day he receives an e-mail offering him a contract to “capture” girls. He accepts thinking it’s a challenge and a demon from Hell named Elsee appears. She asks for his help in capturing runaway spirits that are hiding in “real” girls. He refuses stating he only like the girls from the game and she tells him that if he refuses then both of their heads will be cut off.

YoU: Another well-known series of the season. Gives me a similar feeling to Zero no Tsukaima (ゼロの使い魔).

Snow: This sounds interesting, some mix of comedy and romance, the first thought that pops up in my mind is that the story isn’t going to be that good. However a friend of mine is reading this manga and he said it’s one of the best he had ever read. It’s still on-going if I’m not mistaken. If I were to believe his words this might be either number 1 or 2 on my list with Index.

Tantei Opera Milky Holmes/ 探偵オペラミルキィホームズ (12 episodes)

Seaside Maid Cafe in the Maruko Shopping District at first glance seems normal. But its three employees are rather odd: Hotori aspires to be a detective, Toshiko is a perfectionist, and Uki is an old woman with a fondness for maid outfits.

Snow:The picture reminds me of Welcome to the N.H.K, that’s all =p. Usually comedy shows aren’t a huge success, but maybe SHAFT can deliver a good one.

YoU: Okay, another best of the month? But 13 episodes seem to be way from enough. Hoping it could extend to somehow 26. Must watch.

Snow: I really like season one, however the first season ended too abruptly and the series just demanded to have another season coming. Quite a shame that is has been put off till now while the showed Railgun in the spring season. Anyway, I’m pretty sure this is going to be one of the best shows for me this season. I just love Index and a bit of Kuroko doesn’t hurt
