July 2014 New Anime Guide

Spring is almost over and wonder how are you doing with the series in this season. My Spring started with a long list and now ended up with just a handful of names like Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou, Seikoku no Dragonar, Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka? and several more. It was a good season but guess we just expected too much. Now here we are almost in Summer, and so the list is now recharged.

For those who are still in 2013, this is probably the last and best news for the year for SAO fans. According to the special episode Sword Art Online: Extra Edition aired yesterday on December 31, the second season of Sword Art Online was announced and will be aired in 2014. The official Twitter also confirmed that the new series will be a TV Anime.

The winners of the 12th Tokyo Anime Award were announced at Tokyo International Anime Fair. Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki was chosed as the winner of both the Animation of the Year and Feature Film Category. As for the TV category, Kuroko no Basket which got lots of rumors these days was chosen, as well as another series that we are familiar with, Sword Art Online. Personally I haven’t watched Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki but according to what I’ve heard, it definitely worths title. But for SAO, it really surprises (actually, was not surprised at all) me and guess I should rewrite the title here, the best April Fools’s joke of the year.

Good Smile Company is going to bring up a new Nendoroid from the series and this time is, our female protagonist Asuna. The Nendoroid comes with several different face expressions, as well as accessories including swords and menu window. Also according to GSC, the Nendoroid of her boyfriend Kirito is also on the way.

Recommended Anime of July 2012

Third week of the new season, wonder how you like the new series so far. It’s a great season and we have lots of really awesome series. After watching the first two episodes of almost each title, guess have to decide whether each of them worth our time. Most of the sequel series are above my expectation this month, like one of the favorite Rinne no Lagrange and Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon. Of course, we cannot fail to mention some of those promising series like like Sword Art Online.

Just a week before July and we are already exciting about the upcoming season, probably for months. We have around 25 new series in the Summer season, including several sequel series like one of the favorite Rinne no Lagrange, Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon and Yuru Yuri, plus several quite good new original series like Sword Art Online. It could be a quite good season compared with the flood this Spring.

According to the official website of Sword Art Online, the TV Anime of the series will begin to air in this Summer since July. Written by Reki Kawahara and illustrated by Abec, the original light novel of the series revolves around Kirito, a boy who enters a MMO world called Sword Art Online and the only way to get out is to clear the game.
